Tapa Tapa Arenal — Restaurant in Madrid

Nice enough food, not good drinks they literally served mojitos unmixed. Nice looking place one of the staff we talked to was delightful the only 4 members we dealt with where not. We went once to just grab a drink on route out and we where told to move from a table outside to sit inside if we wherent eatting which was fine. We ordered a drink it was terrible. But we decided to give it a second try at lunch another day. We where waiting to be seated even though there was services doing nothing and not many people inside. The girl on the door was a sweetheart. Guy who set us down didnt seem interested in us as we ordered water to drink and just two small things to start we ordered two drinks each and altogether 6 tapas of all shapes and prices. However we kept getting asked if we where finished or if they could clean up again there was barely anyone there!! At one point the girl just came over took food and when I put my drink down to ask her to wait she took my drink. Over all it wasnt a good experience. Wouldn't be back if...

Be careful going to this place. We were sitting where you see this couple sitting. We were about finished with the tapas and getting ready to pay the bill, when this guy came up to my husband and put his hands around his neck and kissed him on the cheek. I was busy telling him to get away and kiss someone else when we didn’t realize that with his left hand he was stealing my husband’s cellphone. He then ran to get on a bike he had by that lamppost that is front of where that couple is currently sitting in the picture. I got up and told the waiter what happened. His response was that a few days ago another girl that sat there also had her cellphone stolen. Apparently this happens quite often at this place because I was told that the police often ask for the video tapes. We should have been warned that you sit at those tables at your own risk because if you leave anything valuable next to you on the table then it could get stolen. It’s a shame because the food was good and had to be ruined by this...

Definitely WOULD NOT come back. Tasted the worst paella in my life and to top it off, the service was really bad. We had to wait outside for quite a bit although it was empty inside and when we came in there were many tables that were already set, however, we were given one that was not set. We ordered a plate of mussels and asked for our plates to be changed before our paella came but this request was declined. The staff refused to change our plates for us and only gave us one extra plate. Lastly, the paellas were really the worst I have ever tasted. I have never tasted such dry and tasteless paella before. It was as if they didn’t even try to make it nice. Staff’s attitude was also not very pleasant, felt like they did not want to be here at all.
