I've done walking tours in several cities and this one was pretty good for 2.5 hours. We didn't walk too far and stopped often, so I would say it's accessible for people of varying abilities. Our guide Miguel did a great job of mixing history and recommendations. He answered all our questions and acknowledged that he was just scratching the surface because of the limited time together. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5/5 is because in today's day and age I don't think there is any excuse to not only acknowledge but to fully address the depth and ongoing affects of Spain's colonialism especially when there are so many latin american tourists participating in the tours. Miguel did give the group space to briefly discuss this, so thank you, but it was clear that Spain doesn't think their impact on Latin America was bad lol. Obviously you can't judge this tour company on the general attitude of Spain, but I think since they are in the tourism industry they do have a responsibility to understand the international tone, specifically the perspectives of the Latin...
Read moreWow, we just loved our tour with Miguel! He clearly loves his city and delivers information with passion but without bias. Truly exceptional. He was able to give us great historical context about the architecture and development of Madrid as a city from a fortress military outpost to major capital of the world. The views from some of the stops were incredible. He was engaging and fun as our guide.
He gave us excellent suggestions for lunch that really were the best meals we had in Madrid. He also recommended a pedestrian walk that we did the next day that was just lovely, views over the city and families playing and walking on a Saturday. We never would have seen how the people of Madrid spend their Saturday outside without his suggestions!
We enjoyed our city tour so much that we joined Miguel the next day for the Monument and Retiro park tour. Just enchanting. We loved this tour as it focused more on the Bourbon’s time period and art development so we got even more enriching information while wondering the gardens.
10/10 would do another tour with Miguel if...

Miguel shared fascinating Spanish history, weaving in stories that brought the city’s past to life. He also pointed out hidden gems and recommended local spots to try authentic food, which was a wonderful touch. His enthusiasm for Madrid and its culture was contagious, making the tour both fun and educational. Miguel ensured everyone felt included and answered all our questions with patience and detail. The pacing of the tour was perfect, allowing us to take in the sights without feeling rushed. I left the tour with a greater appreciation for Madrid and a list of places I can’t wait to explore further. If you’re visiting the city, I highly recommend booking a tour with Miguel—you...
