This isn't going to be a thorough review because we never actually went inside...
We came here on a Wednesday night not knowing what to expect. The club was about an 8 minute walk from our flat and we were in the mood to dance, so we decided to give it a try. When one of the 5 or 6 bouncers that were talking with each other noticed us and refused to let a person from our group inside because he was wearing track pants, I was actually impressed that they had a dress code (although he could have told us in a nicer tone). We'll call that semi-rude.
So now we were trying to decide whether it was worth it to walk back to our apartment to wait for our friend to change his pants or go elsewhere. To help us decide, we asked if my wife could look inside to see the environment. The one person who spoke English brushed us off and just said from afar, "no sport pants". Rude. Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and maybe they just misunderstood, we asked the bouncer again in Spanish, "can she come in to look around?" "No", was his reply...and then he rubbed his fingers together as if to say $$$. Rude again. Great service starts (and in this case ends) with the first employees you meet. It's disappointing that we couldn't come in to drink, dance, and have a good time because the clubs bouncers were so rude.
I understand that there may be a language barrier involved here, but being nice is as much about body language and tone of voice as what you say...being friendly and kind is a universal language. These bouncers were being rude without saying a word. And with Madrid being such a tourist destination, the bouncers and staff should really be better trained in how to be welcoming and friendly...no matter what language...
This place is a disgrace and it is shameful to MADRID and to Spain. It's a place where racism reigns and where the staff uses "strict dress code" to hide a culture and practice of racism and segregation. Once you go inside you will realize there is no dress code and this place isn't elegant. The only thing they truly are is RACIST. . It's shameful to think this occurs in a country people like to consider "advance". Don't make the mistake of coming here, especially when your hard earned money will end up in thw hands of people that have such deplorable values and lack of humanity. Attending this place is saying that prolonging a culture of racism is alright in...
Read moreI attempted to enter a section of this club with two of my friends. The security guard allowed my friends to enter the section, but kept me back without an explanation. A few people came up and tried to help, and eventually the security guard told me I was not allowed in because I was ugly. Really dude? Do you have anything else better to do with your life? Twenty minutes later, I am aggressively escorted out of a bar after I gave the security man the bird. The men who "escorted" me out of this terrible institution grabbed me by the neck and arms, leaving a bruise on my inner arm. I am a young, strong woman who is not searching for any sympathy given my identity, but no guest should be treated with this blatant lack of respect. I am usually not one to leave reviews, but I believe it was important to inform the public regarding this matter. I strongly advise to not go...
