New Ahil Ebla Bar — Restaurant in Madrid

For anybody who has a slight idea how a good place to eat feels like - it was obvious this doesn't promise great authentic food. But sometimes you need to go for the quick & bad choice (since all other good places for eating are full). We specifically said we don't want bread (in perfect Spanish), but somehow double portion of flat bread was served and additional 1,5 euro appeared in the check. SO-SO LEBANESE FOOD. The hummus was drowning in lemon. The arayes, on the other hand, were good and the baklava as well. Nothing memorable, though. There's ample outdoor seating in a pleasant street right in front of the Renoir cinema (Plaza de España). I wouldn't deliberately come here to have dinner. But if, after a late-night movie at Renoir, you find yourself in the predicament that no other place close-by is open... well, Ebla's better...

With not even saying hello the waiter tells us "you have to leave at 8". 10' before 8 he drops a card on the table saying "only for dinner" 5min to 8(!) he asks for the money and stay until we pay 😅. I have never seen that in my life and couldn't stop laughing.
