New York Burger - Torre Caleido — Restaurant in Madrid

As a restaurant owner I can tell you that no matter how good the food is, the experience will not be as good if the service isn’t up to par… in our case, it was. We were attended to by Alejandro, a waiter who realised we we’re English speakers and were struggling with Spanish and then started speaking better English then me, keep in mind im pretty much American… He knew how to solve all of our indecisions and help us come to our final choices because he knew the menu from top to bottom while also helping us pick everything from the sides tad well as helping us choose how we like our meat. The starter of choice were the “Cheese Bacon Curly Fries” which was an absolute bomb if flavour, very well served and topped of with sour cream as well, delicious and plentifully enough of 2 or maybe even 3. The stars of the show were “Brisket” and “Emily”, very cool concept they have on burgers, “Emily” has a very unique mixture of kimchi which makes it a little bit spicy and let me tell you… it was amazing. Well-known as a main stay in the Cuatro Torres & IE Tower area, New York Burger is a decent place to eat - nothing mind-blowing, pricier than Five Guys, the best I can give is 4 stars based primarily on the excellent service of its staff.

For dinner, I ordered the Chicken Parm, House Pasta, and an Empire Burger (as recommended by a friend). The Chicken Parm was fairly standard in taste and texture, a bit too cheesy for my taste. The house pasta was a bland dish that seemed to belong more to a Kids Menu than the standard menu, at least it came with a piece of grilled chicken breast.

The Empire burger was frankly, a let-down. For a restaurant called New York Burger, there was nothing New York Empire State about the burger. It was salty, slimy, and unappetizing. Normally, pulled pork pairs well with a cheeseburger - in this case, it made the burger incredibly salty and entirely unappealing.

The saving grace for this review is that the server staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and efficient. Not only were they very attentive to my order, but they made sure that there was no empty glass, plate, or used napkin on my table for less than a few minutes. Llegó a las 20.37h 👍 Sin retrasos, se agradece👏 Pedí: 🍔 Hamburguesa Carbonara Medium (14.95€): Carne de vaca🐄 a la parrilla con queso cheddar blanco ahumado🧀, salsa holandesa-carbonara, bacon crujiente ahumado🥓, queso parmesano en polvo🐀 y pimienta negra🧂 ¡FLI-PA!😱🤯 la fusión💍 de tus dos platos favoritos (hamburguesa🍔 y pasta carbonara🍝) hecho realidad🥹♥️ Existen 3 tamaños de hamburguesas (S, M, L) de cada una de las hamburguesas. No encontré la cantidad de cada tamaño😬 Me decidí por la M, y es bastante grande. Suficiente para una cena🫃 A través de la app de Glovo🚴 puedes elegir el punto🔥 de la carne entre dos opciones (Al punto🔥 o hecha🔥🔥). Yo elegí al punto y considero que menos hecha hubiera estado mejor😭 Podrían añadir la opción de "poco hecha"🙏 Mi opinión sobre la hamburguesa 🍔: la carne estaba demasiado hecha y había muy poca salsa 🥲 Yo esperaba mucho más sabor a salsa holandesa/carbonara y la carne es la gran protagonista. 🍟Las patatas van incluidas en el precio👏 Es importante destacarlo🔎 porque en muchos sitios se cobran por separado. Puedes elegir entre patatas fritas🍟, patatas gajo, ensalada de col🥗, totopos con queso derretido, patatas gajo con queso derretido🧀 (+1€), patata asada🥔 con queso Philadelphia (1€), con crema agria (+1€) o sola (+1€), batata frita🍠 (+1€), etc... Pedí patatas gajo e incluye un sobrecito de ketchup, mayonesa y mostaza de Heinz😃

📦 El packaging muy bien👌 El papel de aluminio que envuelve la hamburguesa tiene un tacto especial y mantiene el calor♨️ La comida llegó caliente. Las patatas vienen dentro de una caja con tapa para que no acaben por toda la bolsa👍 La bolsa exterior tiene un cierre de seguridad con 2 pegatinas para que sepas que no se ha abierto ni ha sido manipulado🆒
