Newen is one of my favorite cafés in Madrid. The brunch food is delicious without breaking the bank. The service too is very accommodating. This cafe has a homey feel to it. I'd recommend getting the ham and tomate tosta which is pretty filling as a first meal of the day.

Pedi um açaí e estava Pedí un açaí y estaba incomible. Soy de la tierra del açaí, BELÉM DO PARÁ - BRASIL. Entiendo que aquí no hay producto fresco, pero se puede hacer algo decente. El açaí que recibí estaba asqueroso, totalmente mezclado, probablemente porque le pusieron mucha agua para aumentar la cantidad. Pedí una cerveza sin alcohol y estuve en la terraza por 1 hora y 40 minutos sin que ningún camarero se acercara a preguntarme si quería otra cerveza o un agua, y el lugar estaba vacío. No probé otros platos, pero el açaí estaba incomible, solo agua y muy agrio. Es necesario estudiar más sobre un plato cuando este no es originario de un determinado país, o mejor no lo sirvan.

We came for breakfast and had jamon, pecorino and rocket on toast which was great. Mango smoothie and Orange Juice too. Good setting, and good food I would have scored it 5 if they had another member of staff serving. The waitress was run off her feet, and felt slightly sorry for her in time taking orders, drinks, cutlery and service...
