I usually don't post review but this one is special. I've been to several acai in madrid and clearly this one stands out. The acai cream is really nice, sugared with guarana (no white sugar). The toppings are of quality, the owner is very cool and friendly. And whenever you go alone there is the dog, Milou, to interact with! Finally the place is a apart from big touristic streets. The price is really descent

The only small downside is the very small room but I can't say I care about that when everything else is great.

I've been to other acai cafés like Oak berry Acai, Amazonia Acai, Alma Libre, and while some of them are ok, Origem Acai is...

Origem is an independent business conveniently located just steps away from Plaza de Espana. As we walked in, we were greeted by Milu, the loveliest dog in Madrid. And that says a lot, because there are a lot of dogs in Madrid. I ordered the eponymous açai bowl, which the owner carefully crafted. I was delighted with the freshness of the fruit and overall quality of the bowl. My sister had some of the lemon cake which was a great start to her morning. The owner was so lovely and made our experience memorable. Would...

On the basis of the 5 star rating, I took two American friends here and was horrified. I should have known: the place was empty at 2pm. There were no toasts because "we don't have any bread". Could I have a beer? "We don't have any beer*. The tapiocas were so tough that I bent a fork trying to hold one to cut it. The three of us left over half on our plates. The service was off-hand. A public restaurant is perhaps not the best place to have a dog running around. In sum, a disaster. Fortunately my friends were very...

A lovely cafe! A cute dog was meeting us right at the door! We have ordered tapioca crepes (sort of) with chicken. It was a bit burned so quite difficult to cut. In general ok, but the burned crust ruined the experience. The coffee with milk was good. The guy working in the cafe did not speak english but there was an English menu so no language related problems. I have never had this type of meal so I have nothing to compare it to. I think if you like tapioca you will like this place.

Well worth the effort to seek out a healthy alternative breakfast. The açai was excellent, the owner spoiled us with a sample taster of the chilled fruit at the table, also the Brazilian cheese bread balls and dark chocolate raspberries were authentic and lovely. We had to medium bowls, one with peanut butter, the other honey, topped with mixed grouped fruit and tasty fruit sauces. Totally great way to get fruit and cereal into ourselves in a tasty treat way. Going again tomorrow!
