Otori Taberna Japonesa — Restaurant in Madrid

We've ordered takeout from this lovely new Japanese spot a few times now, and every experience has been wonderful. One day when I was feeling under the weather, my husband went to pick up some spicy ramen for me—and it was so good that I genuinely felt better after eating it. Like magic in a bowl!

There was one mix-up where my husband thought something was missing from the order, so he went back to ask. The owner was incredibly kind and patient, genuinely wanting to understand what happened and make it right. It turned out it was just a little miscommunication—my husband had ordered the wrong item by mistake. But even then, the "wrong" item (curry gyoza!) was absolutely delicious.

The owner's professionalism and care really stood out to us, and we've already gone back twice since. The food is consistently fantastic, and the service is warm and welcoming. They just opened recently, but they’re already a neighborhood gem....

Desde el momento en que entras, el ambiente te transporta a un auténtico izakaya japonés, con su cálida iluminación, detalles de madera y la música tradicional de fondo que crea una atmósfera acogedora. El ramen es, sin duda, el protagonista. Cada tazón es una obra maestra: el caldo es intenso, bien equilibrado y rebosante de sabor, con horas de cocción que se sienten en cada sorbo. Los fideos tienen la textura perfecta, ni demasiado firmes ni demasiado blandos, y los toppings chashu jugoso, huevo marinado en su punto, cebolleta fresca y un toque de ajo o jengibre complementan a la perfección el plato.

El servicio es impecable: rápido, amable y con un conocimiento detallado de la carta, siempre dispuestos a recomendar el mejor maridaje con una cerveza japonesa o un sake artesanal.

En definitiva, una experiencia culinaria que supera las expectativas. Si eres amante del ramen o simplemente quieres probar un pedazo de Japón en tu ciudad, este es el lugar....
