Warning : this restaurant is manipulating reviews, they are buying 5 stars reviews and gaming the system. It is not normal to have this many 5 stars reviews by people who only have one (1) review in their history (look 2 months ago).

Count the number of 5-star reviews from people who only rated Mision in their history, what a happy coincidence?

It is not nice to cheat your customers.

It’s a nice place, they have good coffee, service is cold and impersonal, but somewhat efficient.

But I have never seen so may fake reviews on one business. I have tracked it down and they using a rating farm in South Africa. (Answer to the owner)

I hope I was able to help you correct these fake reviews that are incredibly damaging to your reputation. Probablemente en el top 10 en cuánto a café de especialidad se refiere. Tienen otros establecimientos similares (Hola Coffee y Bakehouse en el que hacen bollería)

🕙 Fui ayer martes por la tarde sobre las 17:30. El local estaba bastante concurrido aunque en la parte superior quedaba una mesa disponible. El establecimiento cerraba a las 18:30 y te avisan unos 10 minutos antes.

🧾En mi caso pedí una degustación de cafés Trinidad, un cinnamon roll con crema de maracuyá y un bizcocho de ricotta con almendras.

☕ La degustación de café viene en tazas pequeñas. Vienen respectivamente café con leche, brewed y expresso. En este caso los cafés eran diferentes. El expresso tenía mucho cuerpo y un punto de amargor un poco ácido que no me gustó mucho. En cambio el brewed estaba muy bueno y el café con leche también. Buena crema y consistencia y el punto justo de amargor. Aún así, desde mi punto de vista el café de "Hola Coffee" que probé estaba mejor.

El roll de canela con crema de maracuyá y pepitas de chocolate espectacular. Una mezcla diferente que me impresionó. Hojaldre crujiente por fuera, masa blandita por dentro y todo en su punto. El praliné de canela o café está muy conseguido. Una buena ración y totalmente recomendable.

En cuanto al bizcocho de ricotta y almendra la textura está a medio camino entre un pastel y un bizcocho. Una masa algo más compacta y esponjosa que la de un bizcocho con trocitos incrustados de almendra. Por encima algo de azúcar glass y laminado de almendras. Aunque la ración parece algo más pequeña que el roll engaña ya que es bastante más consistente. A la altura del roll de canela también lo recomiendo si prefieres algo un poco más neutro y menos dulce.

👩‍🍳 En cuánto al servicio fue amable en todo momento y conocen los productos. Al igual que en el Hola Coffee, si es para llevar se pide en el mostrador y te atienden en mesa para tomar allí. Te dan una carta y te toman nota rápidamente. La comanda llegó bastante rápido.

🌁 El local es un local mediano / grande y algo de luz. A la entrada hay una mesa de barra y unos bancos en forma de escalera en los que te puedes sentar. En el interior hay unas cuantas mesas para sentarse y otra barra. Cuenta con otra sala en el bajo que desconozco cómo es de grande.

Hay una pequeña mesa con un grifo de agua, azúcar, vasos, jarras de agua caliente... a modo autoservicio.

El local es bonito (al menos la planta superior) con decoración minimalista y de madera y algunos libros sobre café. Aunque hay Wi-fi entiendo que no se debe ir con ordenador (hay un cartel que pone mesas libres de dispositivos)

Sumado a esto, hay una pequeña vitrina a la entrada con bollería y tienen café molido que producen expuesto en el mostrador.

Desconozco si se admiten y son bienvenidas las mascotas ya que no había ninguna.

📈En definitiva un sitio con un producto bastante bueno en cuánto a café que quizás pueda tener algo más de recorrido para llegar al nivel de los mejores pero desde luego merece considerar. Buena bollería y servicio atento.

📉Lo malo un sitio bastante concurrido en el que es fácil que no puedas tener sitio (al menos así me pasó en otras ocasiones) Igualmente siempre te lo puedes llevar. Desconozco si admiten reservas. El precio algo elevado (podría tener mejor relación calidad precio o algún producto más asequible) y no es probable que baje debido a la alta demanda.

En definitiva, merece la pena ir y...

Okay breakfast, we went there twice actually. During weekend there was crowded, a waitress managed a queue well. The service was just ok, but it was full of people. Coffee was nice, eggs benedict were not very good as egg white was not cooked long enough. Today the experience was horrible. We were told to take a seat and in 15 minutes nobody bothered to come over and collect an order. There were 3 tables taken! What's worse some locals came inside and a waiter was eager to serve them while we were waiting and waiting...all in all 4 people were served who came later with my table ignored...after exactly 15 minutes we left and went to Carmecita Brunch 200m further. There we were met with a wide smile and the breakfast was the best we have had in Madrid. I would not recommend to come to Mision Cafe if you are a tourist, you won't feel welcome there otherwise. The staff should be taught a lesson of politeness and how to take care...
