The atmosphere is very international, you'll hear French, English, German (and of course Spanish). So this is not your typical "local" speciality coffee spot but that's cool too! It's noisy, lively and full of energy. The coffee is at a corner, surrounded by windows which give it tons of light. The decoration is modern, mixing dark wooden colours (beams, tables, doors) with smooth grey concrete, bare bricks and plants. I'm not sure what the hype is or why all the high reviews, my Eggs Benedict was similar to a fatty unhealthy breakfast dish you'd get at a cheap chain like Denny's or Applebee's in the US. Was the chef out today or something? I came here with the expectation of fresh and high quality ingredients and unfortunately it was the opposite. Bacon was overwhelming, toast was too buttery, and the potatoes were cold and stale - you could taste that they had been sitting out and were from a frozen potato wedge bag (I showed the server this). He said he'd talk to the kitchen staff. Also, what was up with the random sesame cucumber slices in a dill sauce? My coffee wasn't cold but could have been warmer than room temperature. And the bacon kept toppling over the plate - you need to serve this kind of dish in a bigger plate. The ambiance is nice but not...
