THIOSSANE — Restaurant in Madrid

Warning to all vegans/vegetarians: Even though they offer three vegan dishes on the menu, don't trust them to be actually vegan. I had a vegan Mafé today and discovered I was chewing on a piece of meat 🤢 So apparently "vegan" means to them, they serve the meat dish without the meat, not actually preparing a vegan meal. But worst of all, when I told them, they didn't care. Very sad, because the portions are generous, the Senegalese coffee and tamarind juice were really tasty, the prices are good... I would certainly have come back, if they had...

Pequeño restaurante senegalés. Lo primero que me llamó la atención es que cuando llame para reservar me dijeron que sí que sí, que sin problema para cenar 2 a las 10:30 de la noche, me preguntaron por mi nombre y me dijeron que sí, que ya lo habían reservado, cuando llegue allí nadie me preguntó por tal reserva y yo no lo mencioné, con lo cual lo de la reserva me da a mí que va un poco de aquella manera. En la comida no puedo ser muy crítico puesto que es la primera vez que voy a un restaurante senegales pero me pareció que estaba bien en cuanto a cantidad y calidad. El precio muy correcto, incluso ajustado. El local está montado de una manera bastante espartana lo que también le da un cierto "encanto", había bastantes comensales africanos con lo cual esto debería de darnos a entender que la comida que allí se sirve debe ser bastante acorde a sus comidas tipicas, ambiente animado (sábado por la noche y la mayoría eran jóvenes) NO SIRVEN ALCOHOL El servicio aunque fue amable y agradable es cierto que le faltaba profesionalidad, pero en cuanto entras al local y lo ves sabes que no va a ser un servicio exquisito, aún así repito que el servicio fue amable y cercano. La verdad es que me gustó, posiblemente repita. Es un sitio que recomiendo si estás un poco cansado de los típicos restaurantes, ahora bien, os aviso que no esperéis ningún...

The best food of Spain. Authentic African dishes, delicious, and made with the best ingredients. Also the amounts are amazing. If you're hungry, you must try it out. Staff are soooooooo nice, I don't even have words to explain. And the ambiance sends you back to Africa (which is my favorite part). Prices are really acceptable, i actually feel like I'm underpaying. It's a lovely place with lovely people. Thank you for everything...
