Can I just say how much I loved this cafe. My pregnant self honestly kind of disliked Spain at this point of my trip there because I can’t eat any of iberico ham and other goodies. I was almost close to giving up Spain until I encountered this place. When we arrived here, I was greeted by a lovely man who we ended up finding out he was the owner. It was so lovely talking to him, he’s such an intellect. I learned alot about Spain and different cultures (economy, politics, views.. etc ❤️🥹). I mean this is what traveling is for right ? . I wanted to try this cafe because it looked ig worthy and it was (he kept apologizing for how the heart shape came out on the pink color latte but it’s normal to be like that if it’s not whole milk- so I didn’t care) ! 💕 the pink color latte was beet latte which was sooooooo delish. Perhaps, I’m going back to Madrid just for this cafe and nothing else lol. The vibe was a cozy, hip vibe located in a hole in a wall place. I loved everything about this cafe honestly. It was definitely an experience my husband and I enjoyed. You HAVE to go to this place and check their drinks out. I saw someone eating avacado toast which looked so good too. I’m sure their food items are on point😊.
Oh I forgot to add my husband loved his bonbon, he ended up getting two lol I couldn’t have another drink because of pregnancy making me feel so full...
Read moreTerrible cappuccino. Milk is way over heated which explains why the foam is bubbly and there's no latte art.
Update: reply to the response from the owner
Actually, the barista tried to do a latte art. We ordered two: One of them was a complete failure, and the other one had a tiny (but rather unsuccessful) heart. When I wrote “milk is way over heated,” I meant the milk was probably over 80 coz it was too hot to drink. At this temperature, the protein gets broken so it had an unpleasant eggy smell.
Like you wrote back, if you are really serving a “traditional style cappuccino,” sure, it is something you would get at a traditional coffee house in Vienna. You also serve it in a mug instead of a cappuccino cup. It makes sense. But it is a bit misleading the way your cafe looks because I thought you were a third wave coffee shop. I mean, your name contains “Better Coffee” and you sell beans from Ethiopia, etc… I just was in shock to get served the terrible cappuccino and paid...
Read moreNice, quiet cafe to relax in. It's vegan friendly too. Came and ordered the brunch set which comprises of a yogurt, orange juice, toast of your choice, coffee of your choice and dessert of your choice. We got the avocado, tomato and egg toast - a slice of toast with tomato spread and avocado and topped with a poached egg. I had the cappuccino which was alright though I feel the coffee could be stronger. Chose the chocolate cake for dessert, it was a little paste like, I didn't really like the texture of it. But overall it was a filling meal. Service was alright except I think there was only 1 guy running the cafe when we were there, so it took him a while to clear the table, but it's ok we understand, it was probably a...
