Picsa — Restaurant in Madrid

Love the pizza here! I came with my boyfriend and his parents (from Argentina). They said, of course, the pizza wasn't like home, but that it was very good. The sangria is delicious (with lambrusco: try it!) And the desserts were decent as well. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked, the waiters attentive but not overbearing... Everything was great. My only real complaint is with the chairs, which were very uncomfortable, and that they kept it very cold, (I'm used to that from the US, but normally in Spain restaurants are kept so cold). An argentinian pizza place, might not sound very obvious, however the italian immigration in the 18th and 19th century may reveal where these chefs got their inspiration from. The first thing you see when you enter is the huge stone oven and the minimalistic interior. They have a special recipe for the dough and the result is a crusty yet fluffy texture, which is unique, nothing to do with the "deep pan" base we're familiar with. Mi experiencia en "Picsa" fue, sin duda, una de las peores que he tenido en un restaurante. Desde el momento en que entré, noté que algo no estaba bien. La comida era de pésima calidad, con un sabor que dejaba mucho que desear. Los precios, por otro lado, eran excesivamente altos para lo que ofrecían, lo cual me pareció un verdadero abuso... .

La atención de los camareros fue otro punto negativo. Fue descortés y desagradable, como si no les importara en absoluto la experiencia del cliente. Sin embargo, después de observar el trato del qué cocina las pizzas les daba al camarero, pude entender por qué su actitud era tan mala. El dueño(supongo o se creee) fue grosero y despectivo con su personal, lo que claramente se reflejaba en el mal servicio que recibí. Es evidente que un mal ambiente laboral afecta directamente al trato hacia los clientes.

Para colmo, la higiene del lugar dejaba mucho que desear. En la barra encontré varias cucarachas muertas. Esto me hizo pensar que el restaurante tiene un serio problema de plagas, lo cual es completamente inaceptable en un establecimiento que sirve comida. No fue solo una cucaracha, sino varias, lo que me hizo cuestionar las condiciones sanitarias del lugar.

En resumen, no recomendaría "picsa" a nadie. La combinación de mala comida, precios elevados, pésimo servicio y problemas de higiene hacen que esta experiencia sea algo que no quiero repetir. Definitivamente, no volveré y no...
