Restaurante Adrede — Restaurant in Madrid

Just round the corner from our hotel what a fantastic place to begin your first weekend break in Madrid. From the meals provided by the brilliant chef Gonzalez to the impeccable service by the lovely Isabel the whole expeience was exceptional. Top that off with the welcome provided by Angel and Nadine - why would you want to go anywhere else? The Riberia wine was full of flavour and the ox cheeks to die for... although to pick out indivudual meals is unfair to the rest of the menu!! We will certainly remember our first visit to Madrid for both the friendly people and the warm atmosphere of the city typically brought together in this place and the friendships we made....unbelieveble....

Guys…. A total discovery!! If you are in Madrid you have to visit this charming, cosy, friendly, family owed restaurante. Run by two brothers, the food reflects the best (healthy) example of proper Spanish cuisine. The pastel de puerros melts in your mouth, the Carrillas is a must and the artichokes are incredible! BUT the chocolate cake literally “takes the cake”, it was the surprise of the evening. A complete treat! Angel, one of the owners runs an efficient team who are attentive, polite and very accommodating....

Voy a serte sincero, este restaurante es una de esas joyas que descubres y que no quieres que se entere demasiada gente, pero a la vez te dan ganas de contarlo. La gente no viene aquí por casualidad, se nota que se prioriza la cocina por encima de todo. Está en pleno barrio de Jerónimos, una ubicación inmejorable, perfecta para ir a comer después de dar un paseo.

Me encanta que su carta no sea interminable. Tiene la amplitud justa, lo necesario para que sea un restaurante con personalidad, sin agobiarte con mil opciones. Su propuesta se basa en rendir homenaje a otras cocinas de España, y créeme, lo hacen de maravilla. Y aquí viene lo mejor: los precios. Para lo que ofrecen, me parecieron más que razonables, no son elevados para nada y la calidad de la comida lo vale con creces. Además, es un detalle importante que acepten pago con tarjeta, porque ya casi nunca llevo efectivo.

Un consejo: no se te ocurra ir sin reservar, especialmente si es fin de semana, porque se llena con facilidad. El ambiente dentro es increíble, la decoración es excepcional y hace que la experiencia de comer sea aún más agradable. Noté que es un sitio muy familiar, muy cómodo para ir con niños o en grupos.
