Excellent!!! Normally if my experience is good, I give 5/5 But this restaurant deserves much more than that 10 out of 5. The local friend brought us on Saturday night.
Most probably one of the best dinners I had in Spain. No need to say the mood & service. It was excellent. The dishes were served exactly in the perfect order even though we didn't ask any.(fish first & meat in the end) There are menu over 40E ppl but we ordered a la carte. Every single dishes was exquisite! Bread were served 3 different. Boletus with poached egg, Rabo de Toro. We had 3 fried dishes(mixed fishes as apéritif on house, merluza, calamar/squid) Spanish style fritura// the different style from tempura, One of the best fried dishes I have ever had in Spain. ((Though I dont credit for fried dishes : Last year I stayed in Malaga for 9 months, I had too much eaten bad/oily/salty fried dishes.))
I had a experience of gastronomy but the bill was normal casual restaurant.
I am really impressed. I can recommend this...
Read moreMirroring some of the other reviews, we found the whole experience slightly disappointing. The restaurant is a white table cloth, full service affair but what we got was a rushed, impersonal delivery and a very brightly lit room which diminished the atmosphere. The food was thrown out far too quickly and it undermined the quality.
We ordered a very reasonable bottle of champagne which was served in a wine glass which speaks volumes.
From the tasting menu, the dishes themselves were, yes, very heavy. There’s not a vegetable in sight. The venison and the partridge dish were the standout dishes but the fried fish dishes were forgettable and bland.
Yes, this is a Spanish restaurant so the food reflects local tastes and specialities but it’s certainly not somewhere I’d rush back for, more because of the service and delivery than for the actual...
Read moreHad the Tasting menu and found it to be an incredible value given the generous food portions and quality of dishes served. The 9 course meal started off with an amuse plate of lightly fried shrimps, followed by shaved tuna with wasabi, fried battered red prawns, half grilled prawns, tuna belly with black garlic aïoli, Corvina with mushrooms tomato confit (full portion sized fish), puff pastry with partridge, and dessert consisting of a french toast brioche, passion fruit ice cream chocolate fritters. Wines were also reasonably priced as we had a lovely bottle of Unzu rose. Service was attentive and friendly. My only complaint is that the initial five dishes came out a bit too fast, as we barely finished the earlier dish and was still discussing it before the next...
