This place was recommended to us by the manager of Da Michele restaurant when I asked for some good Spanish restaurant nearby in the Salamanca area next to our hotel The whole street is filled with awesome Spanish places. We tried La Monte on the first night The place is well decorated and packed : good vibes The waitress was helpful in terms of quantity of food to order We followed the recommendations of Google guides and some food bloggers. Ensalada Burrata: delicious burrata in the middle of mixed salad with fresh tomatoes, delicious salad so refreshing Second appetizer: Ceviche Corvina: refreshing ceviche with Mango zest Third choice was: mixed croquettes four cod and four mushroom and truffle. So creamy and delicious The two mains: Rape con Arroz Melo- Angler fish on top of rice The best was the last: Pulpe Pure y Trufa Delicious octopus on top of purée and shaved truffles decorating. With their secret sauce so delicious They also serve a basket of mixed...

A tip from a friend who's lived in Madrid for a long time and comes back often. This is Paloma's favorite and that's why I went. They delivered on the atmosphere, on Friday night you could feel that the weekend had started, these people were there to enjoy themselves and dressed up for the occasion. The food was perfect. We had the crab croquettes, I'd take a mix to share next time as 8 become too much for 1. Tempura of asperges and mushrooms are very yummy. Main course the cod with summer truffles and lamb meatballs. All very good in taste and also for the eye. I like it how they pour the wine by glass from a magnum, as it's better for the taste. As desert we had the torijas, the tasty fried milk bread. To die for. If I'd have to find one small point of improvement, I'd make sure the staff doesn't have too much fun together which might come at the expense...

This is where my sister (who lives in Madrid), brings her international visitors to impress them, and now I totally get why…This place blew me away. I’m coeliac and usually miss out on the bread experience, but not here. They brought out gluten-free options and what looked like freshly baked sourdough rye buns that were absolutely insane, and that was just with our drinks, alongside amazing olives and oil.

For food, we had the tomato salad, the Mexican-style ceviche, and the pulpo with truffle potato. Every dish was rich, flavourful, and beautifully done. The octopus in particular was decadent and perfect for sharing.

The service was also fantastic, our waitress went out of her way to make sure our dietary needs were looked after. Incredible value for the quality and experience. 10/10 highly,...

One of my favourite restaurants in Madrid and always a busy a good vibe. The food is all excellent quality and well priced for the quality that you receive. My absolute favourite dishes to order here are the mushroom croquetas, the tomato salad is divine and incredibly fresh. The mushrooms with egg, mashed potatoes and truffle are beautiful. Yesterday I went for probably the 7th time and they were incredibly accommodating to the allergies that my group had. For the first time I tried the octopus with mashed potato and truffle and it was 10/10. Rich and delicious mash, the octopus perfectly cooked. We also had the ceviche which was unique and delicious. Even the bread basket is a 10/10
