Overall verdict: A good food stop if you love rich tasting food!

Food: A wide variety of food such as grilled pig ears, Veal, Tripe, cured beef. It can get a bit rich so I would recommend getting the vegetable stew and other veggie dishes. Take note, if you want to order their famous suckling pig, you will have to order it at least a day in advance!

Value: There is a set meal of bread, a two course meal and dessert for only 11.5€! The portions are quite filling. You might also want to consider getting some ice cream on your way out, they sell them at a good price! Service: Ask for the English menu. The servers are extremely friendly but they do not speak english (Pointing at your choice and double checking with the waiter really goes a long way to ensure you got the...

Tucked in a little street away from the museums, we found this deceptively small restaurant bar. We had a very pleasant dining experience! We were greeted with little enthusiasm and I was quick to dismiss this as poor service. However, once seated, the staff showed great initiative and excellent service. We were provided with English menus and the waiter even provided extra plates when he noticed we were sharing food. We started with the vegetable stew which was all flavours of wonderful and the grilled pig ears, served in generous and rich proportions. The rest of the dishes were fair and all in all, it is definitely worth dropping by for a meal if you...

Very weird experience. The first dish we ordered "Empanada de bonito" came out of the fridge, very cold and wasn't fresh, like it was made in the morning. Bread wasn't fresh either. We were charged 2,8€ for a bottle of water even tho it wasn't in the drink list in the menu, so when the waiter asked if we wanted water we thought it would be free like almost everywhere. Young waiter was really kind, older ones were kind of rude. Tortilla was ok, nothing special, but At least it was fresh. We also ordered Callos a la Madrileña which we didn't like but I think it's a matter of personal preference. Portions of "Raciones" are small. Would give 2,5 stars if it...

We chose to eat here based on Google reviews. We wanted an authentic traditional Spanish food experience. Unfortunately, lamb sweetbread was very salty and chewy because they hadn’t removed the membrane layer. Beef stew was very average and the flavour came through was paprika. As for cleanliness they need a lot to improve on. Expensive for the quality and portion size. Sangeria however was one of the best Sangerias that we’ve had in Madrid so far.

Amazing food quality. They don’t speak much English and the menu is in Spanish only. But we used Google translate and managed to order. Sure , some dishes came out as a surprise but they tasted great so we are pleasantly surprised. In the photo the one on the right is “salad” and the one on the left had words “egg and ham” in its name. Hahahah. Totally not what we expected. I’d definitely go back.
