I found it to be an overrated place and wouldn't recommend if you are used to having actually good meat. Since they describe themselves as a steakhouse, considering the portion size, the price and the amazing comments, I went to this place with maybe too high hopes. Meat was not tender and that breaks the deal for me. Regarding service, everybody was speaking so nicely about Dana! I was actually looking forward to meet her and found it fun we had the same name. Suprisingly she ended up taking our order. Although she was nice, she did seem to ignore us when we requested to go inside after a while in the terrace where we had an unpleasant experience since a bee approached and stayed a while with us, a whole group of like 10 friends joined the table next to us…. which was looking at a lot of noise, and also heat was unberable. We saw clearly that there was room in the bar but they refused to let us in and we had to re-iterate the question to another person because she practically disappeared up until we were kind of finishing our plates (which come super fast) and the request didn't make sense anymore. We paid and left as soon as we could, practically ran away from the place. TLDR: bad experience overall.. I guess because of the comments we were unlucky, but the almost 5 star rating does not reflect my experience at all: overpriced steak with...
Read moreWe liked the food quality, the meat and potatoes were good. The presentation was quite nice. House wine is quite young, typical table wine so be aware if you dont prefer it. Service was very nice and fast. The sauce pf the meat was a bit more acidic than I expected (compared to l’Entrecôte in Paris , or Bistro Régent alternatively in the south of France). Like many people, we went to this restaurant knowing the concept and having a certain expectation for the taste. It was okay, but the sauce is different than the French ones (of course, this is Swiss apparently:) ) Potatoes were not unlimited, it is fixed plate, but it was more than enough and tasty. The only thing I’d criticize is the dessert pain perdu :( why does it have so much caramel on it ? :(( the original recipe is with syrup as far as I know, at least ‘not’ with such heavy & burnt caramel at this much amount 🥵 we hardly finished 1 shared by 2 (i had to leave after a few spoons) . Service is friendly and fast. Its worth a visit for ones who like the concept. Ps: get a different dessert...

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Swiss Butter in Madrid, and we were lucky enough to have Dana as our waitress. From start to finish, she truly elevated our date night. Dana’s service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, always ready with recommendations, and incredibly warm and friendly. She made us feel like valued guests, and her timing with everything was spot on.
She went out of her way to ensure our meal was perfect, checking in just the right amount and making us feel at ease. She even surprised us with a special touch for our dessert, making the evening even more memorable. Dana has a talent for creating a relaxed yet elegant dining experience, and we couldn’t have asked for better service. If you’re dining here, ask for Dana—you won’t be...
