When I had my first sip of tea in Teapots, I felt like someone hugged my soul, kissed it on its cheeks and surrendered it with a warm glow of love. How amazing a cup of tea can be? It can be magical! I sat back, watched the front alley after a morning rain and listened to soothing music that filled the tea shop. The smell of my Ceylon tea danced with each note and completed my amazing morning! A must visit place in Madrid!
I visited this place the next day and had a smoked Earl Grey. It was a blast of taste. It took me all the way to a rain forest in Australia where our fire was fueled by river red gum woods. The tea was smoky, deep in favour and easy on the tongue. The teatender (bartender) surprised us with a pot of Dream Tea. A white tea with orange blossom and a pinch of rose. I tasted the orange blossom on the top of my mouth and the rose on the throat.
Overall order anything from this place, tea, coffee, matcha rolls, matcha muffins, or a slice of cheese cake, all will be amazing and all will be served to...
Read moreVery nice coffee and tearoom just steps away from Plaza Mayor without the hustle and bustle. Many of the of the locals come for breakfast and you can see them reading the morning paper.
We stumbled upon this nice little shop when we wanted to have a glass of wine around 5:00 in the evening. Too early for dinner, we actually went to another place right next to our hotel, but they wouldn't just serve wine and an appetizer, so we walked around the corner and found this lovely place with a couple of seats outside. The owner was more than happy to serve us, and he suggested a nice Alvarinho that was just perfect.
We went back every morning for breakfast, where we were greeted by the owner, who now recognized us. Serving excellent cappuccino and offering an assortment of over 50 teas. There's a nice selection of pastries and breakfast sandwiches too. They also offer healthy lunch options with salads during the day.
This is a perfect little place to start your day or just stop by in the late afternoon for a...
Read moreThis nice shop is hidden in a quiet side street. We happened to pass by it and it turned out to be a tea connoisseur's heaven. It is one of the best in Spain. The owners are experts in tea and know what water temperature is right for each tea. They also have overseas experience studying in Japan.
It is well stocked with over 100 carefully curated pure and flavoured teas from many parts of the world, many of which are organic.
Other than tea, their desserts were unexpectedly tasty. Their mochi ice cream (fresh chewy rice dough) were made by a Japanese lady. Their chocolate cookies and cheesecake were also homemade with quality ingredients. Better than hotels' desserts. Price is very reasonable. Highly...
