Reserved online to ensure we had a table in the nice underground restaurant pictured on Google.
Unfortunately when we got there we were told the inside doesn't open for another hour and we can only eat out on the terrace with the chain smokers.
Server was not very helpful and seemed unhappy to be there.
Ordered a heart of the devil drink and it was delicious. Wife ordered the ribs and it took all my effort to cut the ribs apart with the bitter knife. "30 hour" cooked ribs should fall apart just by looking at them, not these. Very tough and dry. I ordered the Tennessee Pulled pork which was decent. A huge pile of pulled pork on top of a bed of scalloped potatoes.
If I was forced to eat here again I'd probably get it again but stay away from the dry ribs.
I know smoking is a big thing in Spain but coming from a place that smoking is illegal in any public setting and smoking is considered disgusting by most people it is sooo disappointed to see people allowed to smoke where you are trying to enjoy your dinner.
One positive thing, like most places on the plaza, they do have misters on all their umbrellas giving you short reprieves from the heat.
It is also a nice place to sit an enjoy people watching on the huge plaza while wondering if the poor people in those bear costumes are...

My family and I arrived at the restaurant with high expectations since it was out first meal in Spain. The experience in terms of the waiters was average, but it was the food that disappointed us.
Two members of my party, including me, ordered a veal steak (Veal Entrecote.) We had not realized this, but what “medium rare” means is quite different from our definition (we come from the southeastern USA). So beware. This was a misunderstanding from our part, but the main issue was that the steak was awful. I have no issue with a rare stake, I can enjoy it still, but the problem was that the meat had no seasoning at all and it was tough and terribly chewy. The steak came with fries which were also undercooked, not crispy or golden. My son ordered something like a shrimp scampi, and he was very disappointed as well. Same issue. No seasoning and undercooked pasta.
Funny thing was that when we asked the waiter for a salt shaker, he seemed offended, lol. We were vastly disappointed in this experience and we would not recommend the restaurant to anyone else, unless you enjoy flavorless, bland,...

There are two things which I love (good wise): Meat and Potatoes. These guys just know exactly how to make the most amazingly crispy and fluffy fries and these other type of sautéed potatoes chips kind of things. The meat just slides away from the bone on the ribs and is so tender and juicy!
We went here for dinner and I had the Ribs and my fiancé had the Iberian burrito. Then we can back for lunch the next and it was even better! We had the Huevos Rotos to start which they mess up for you and get all the egg I got the potatoes. Then I had the Brisket burger which just blew me away. The bun was light and fluffy and crispy but also had some deeper consistency. My fiancé had the pulled pork and the flavour, well, it was out of this world!!!
All in all with the quick service, amazing location and friendly staff as well as the food. This place is not just one of my favourites of Madrid, or of Spain, but...
