"It's our third day in Madrid, and we decided to have brunch. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite a disappointing experience. We placed an order for four dishes and four drinks. However, by the end of our brunch, they had forgotten to bring one of our drinks, and we had to remind them about it. Additionally, we ordered extra bacon for our avocado toast, which also didn't arrive.

As for the billing, it was a bit unclear because when we asked for it, we received a payment slip only, without a detailed receipt, which we found somewhat amusing.

Out of the four dishes we ordered, one was completely burnt, and it seemed like they tried to hide it by covering the burnt part with sugar powder, which was an interesting presentation choice. The chicken sandwich lacked flavor, but the chicken salad was tasty and well-presented.

On the bright side, the coffees were good without any issues.

The service was a bit peculiar. The staff were friendly, but when we pointed out the burnt pancakes, they simply apologized and didn't offer any refund, which we found a bit...

The Fix is a pleasant café close to the Debod temple. Since I live in the neighborhood, I come here quite often. They roast their own coffee and have high-quality equipment from Victoria Arduino: the Black Eagle espresso machine and two Mythos One grinders. One grinder is for espresso, the other one for milk drinks. The espresso is always single-origin. I've had pretty good shots at The Fix, never a bad one, but admittedly also never a truly memorable one. The food is good as well. The menu offers lots of breakfast and light lunch options: granola, toasts, salads, pancakes, etc. There also cakes and cookies, but the latter are vegan and pretty tasteless. The interior is minimal and elegant. If you don't get a table on the main floor, there's also a larger area downstairs. It's not as inviting because it doesn't have windows, but...

I'm studying abroad here in Madrid for 3.5 months, and my roommate Madison and I come here almost everyday. Being American, we didn't know where we could sit, study, and have a cafe study environment that we were used to in the US with wifi. But The Fix was just "The Fix" we needed! I am addicted to their spinach, chicken, pesto sandwich, i literally have dreams about it. Their avocado toast is amazing. Add an egg if you like. Their chai tea lattes and iced latte with oat milk are our personal favs! They also speak english and the owner is so so nice. It is what i will miss most about madrid when i go back to the US. Everyone better go get their "fix" and go to The Fix! Thank you, Fix, for being exactly what we needed every single day. We bring so many friends here and turn them into...

Espectacular café y tostas muy decentes, pelín subido de precio pero bueno, es lo que tiene la moda. Muy buen servicio y atención.
