I was refused from Espit Chupitos because I was wearing short pant. Ok. Rules are rules.
I was then redirected to the Room, by street hustlers. Forgot about the chupitos. Alcool is bad and it’s not really pleasant to drink the shot even is it’s way more than 2cl. I have been witness of many shots that ended into the sink because people could not finish them… Anyway It started quite nicely. Then later during the night I paid a 25€ drink, and because there was an issue on the POS (point of sale/terminal) they did not believe I had paid my drink.
Also because I had not network (I’m a foreigner) I could not prove it.
But they could also just go into POS history to verify that my payment did pass. But you know: it’s 2023 and « no habla ingles ». 🙄
I think it’s because I tapped on the terminal with my 10€ note bill for tip, and that’s why they though I did not pay my drink. But curiously, the 10€ tip was accepted. 50€ (2x25€) for 1 drink is quite a bit (+10€ + the 10 previous drinks)
If you put into perspective that they « forgot » to add vodka in my previous drink, and think you can see a pattern.
Too bad because i wasn’t wasted as they though because I’ve ordered few drinks. I had to ask for my alcohol in my drink.
Be aware my friend. And you’ll have a good night. I hâte...
Read moreAbsolute tourist trap. If you're going here, please make sure to keep an eye on your tab. I was wrongfully charged +€1k. I had the VIP section and ordered some bottles. However, I did not authorize for the extra bottle charges that was charged for the mentioned amount above. I went back the next day to speak with the owner. They said they would check the cameras to show me proof that I did sign. After waiting half an hour, the owner took me back and then later said, "you had actually asked for us to turn off the cameras for you in the VIP section". That statement from the owner is absolutely false. I NEVER asked for ANY cameras to be turned off during my time at the VIP section. At the end of this, it seemed to me like they were giving me the run-around to tire me out. They had ZERO video camera proof of me EVER signing, even after I continuously asked to see the video evidence. Again, I NEVER authorized nor did I sign myself for this outrageous +€1k extra charge. The ONLY charges I was responsible for, and was aware of, was when I spent around €950 for the VIP service, that's it. After that, I feel like I was a completely taken advantage of by this facility by them falsifying...
Read moreI wish I would've read the reviews about this place before I made the mistake of entering it.
It's a tourist trap.
As others described accurately, the prices in this place are EXTREMELY high and the general feeling is of a rip-off scheme, with innocent looking flirty girls claiming to be tourists (in my case from Columbia) that in fact work there in getting tourists to buy them these EXTREMELY expensive drinks.
For example, I'm talking about 100€ for two glasses of cava or whatever that was. 25€ for vodka with soda. So yeh, get your wallet ready for some traumatic night.
There's nothing wrong with the bar over-pricing their low quality drinks, after all its your choice to buy and pay. But the part where they have working girls pretending to be random tourists while practically working with the bartender to squeeze money out of you - that's low and disrespectful, and bit surprising that it still exists and especially in Madrid's city center, and so bluntly too.
If you were lucky to have read these feedbacks before you went in there - you probably won't.
If, like me, you read about it only after - you must already feel pretty stupid after getting...
