It seemed like a promising start, as the host who showed my family and me to our table had a fun attitude. I also noticed the nice décor and ambience. We were given English menus, and while the translation was sometimes a bit mysterious, it was still understandable. The food sounded good, as well.

We got the gazpacho and baby octopus with potatoes for appetisers. They were okay. The bread roll was nice. However, the mains were not great. Were all four of us really unlucky with our orders?

My cod gratin with ratatouille had a very sweet sauce, and the ratatouille itself, although tasty, was rather lacking in vegetables. It was also an odd gratin—it wasn’t cheese like I was expecting. Everyone else’s food was not too good, either, and the steak order was wrong—we only discovered after we had all finished.

The waitress was rather rude. She looked unhappy and threw the plates down. Also, she must take orders from the men of the table first, and she’ll stick her chin out at you to indicate for you to speak. Later, when we wanted to pack some leftover food, she didn’t put the lid on properly, but luckily we noticed before leaving. She seemed to treat the locals better.

I cannot recommend this place. If you do end up going, ask for a jug of tap water. We’re tourists who don’t speak the language and as such, we were only given the bottled water option, which...

Don't go here if you are hungry

The food looks good, and it might be, but we only got half our order, it was cold, and it took 2 hours to arrive.

It was 2 hours from when we were given our menus, until our main course arrived, even with regular prompting to our waiter to take our orders. When they finally did take the order it was still a long time before the food arrived, and they completely slipped our appetizers. We were very hungry when it arrived. The spaghetti alla carbonara was cold (and not served in the cheese wheel as it had been for other customers) and the seafood pappardelle was warmer and quite good, but a disappointing experience together.

The waiter grumbled something about them being busy, but there were other tables that were seated after us that had eaten two courses and left before we got our food. Maybe it was because we spoke English and not Spanish, so maybe this is only a warning to English speaking customers.

When the bill arrived it had our appetizers on it, suggesting there was no confusion over the order, they just forgot to deliver them? They took them off the bill without a fuss and we left as quickly as we could.

Very disappointed,...

Your vacation is too short to eat at this restaurant! I have been traveling in Spain for three weeks now and this was by far the worst dining experience I have had. I booked ahead and was still shown to an awful table next to the server's station where everyone had to work their way by me to get to the restroom. Two minutes after I sat down, they wanted to take my food order. They brought me the wrong main dish - the first waiter told me it was correct, and I finally had to pull up a picture from the web to show the second waiter because I knew what I had ordered. Mind you, not a case of my bad Spanish, when I ordered I was pointing on their English menu. Then my dish magically appeared - cold and congealed because it was probably sitting there on the pass. They topped it off by charging me for a second glass of wine, which I didn't have, but would have loved to have if any of the staff had cared enough to ask. Paid 24 euros for a two-course mediocre meal and bad service experience. Only time in Spain I have ever felt rushed. Too many good restaurants in Madrid to bother...

Belongs to big group of restaurants and hospitality chain, the Andilana group. Nicely decorated internally. Many pictures to verify this so I don’t need to. But my personal experience was; reserved a table for 4. But when I arrived and told the waitress I had reservations she said it’s doesn’t matter and asked me to choose my table. Yes it was a Tuesday but that thought drew my attention that this restaurant isn’t that grand anymore. Anyways we sat and ordered our food after viewing the menu. Sadly this nice restaurant serves fusion food that is neither Asian nor Spanish nor western. The spring roll order came with 3 rolls at a price of more than Euro 8. Then after seated for few minutes we were in the Philippines as all the wait staff spoke Tagalog to each other and loudly too. Food quality is not good amidst all the review. Quantity is a lot though and price is steep. I’m not going to come back nor go to any of the others restaurants on the group.

Seafood pasta was surprisingly bland. Considering how good Spanish seafood is, this should have been a fail-proof item. The sauce is almost like the water used to cook the seafood. Every element tasted watery, I believe the sautéeing process was skipped way too much. It looked nothing like what’s shown on the menu. The oxtail, which was one of the top bestsellers, was okay but lackluster too. It has strong flavor but not much layer/depth. And the portion was pretty small. One thing I noticed after I already stepped into the premise was: despite 8000 reviews, not many were recommending certain items on the menu. In fact when I looked up “shrimp” “gambas” “oxtail” “sangria” which were supposed to be their bestsellers, most reviews were negative (or nonexistent). And the recent dozens of reviews were mostly centered around waiter/waitresses. So the rating and number of reviews looked “watery” to me.
