We have been coming to this restaurant regularly for over six years and have always appreciated the view and good service. Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience the last time we went, about a month ago.
We called on Friday to reserve a front-row table for Sunday, as we’ve often done in the past. We were told that those tables couldn’t be reserved, but that if one was available when we arrived, it would be given to us.
On Sunday at lunchtime, a front-row table was indeed free — but we were told we couldn’t have it because it was for four people and we were only two. Three minutes later, another couple arrived and was given that exact same table.
To make things worse, it was a windy day and the table we were offered was fully exposed. We asked if we could have another more sheltered table, or if the windscreen could be lowered for protection — the manager said no (This is not the manager we’ve known over the past years)
After the meal, we went to speak to the new manager to ask for an explanation. Instead of apologizing for giving the table we had specifically asked for to someone else, he told us that front-row tables couldn’t be reserved — but then said the couple who got the table had booked it… Then he changed his version again and claimed someone had cancelled that table by phone, so he gave it away. (So they can be reserved after all?)
He kept repeating “these are the rules” and “customers don’t get to choose their table,” then abruptly ended the discussion by walking away.
The truth is, this new manager clearly doesn’t understand what customer experience means. Rather than listening and trying to handle the situation properly, he made it worse by contradicting himself and refusing to take any responsibility. He provided poor service and made no effort to ensure guest...
Read moreParadise Beach is a true gem along the coast, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service from the staff. In particular, Javier and Brandon were true service sunshines - always attentive, friendly, and ready to make our experience even better.
The quality of the food at Paradise Beach is good, with delicious options always available and made with high-quality ingredients. I was impressed by the consistent quality and care taken with each dish we ordered. Even more impressive was the fact that the staff remembered our names and preferences, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and appreciated.
The atmosphere at Paradise Beach is perfect for a relaxing day by the ocean. The music is just the right volume - loud enough to add to the ambiance, but not so loud that you can't have a conversation with your company. The whole vibe of the restaurant is chilled and laid-back, making it easy to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Lastly, I have to give a shoutout to the staff for their kindness towards our furry friend. They even brought water for Rosi, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made our visit all the more special.
Overall, I highly recommend Paradise Beach for anyone looking for good food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere by the beach. Thank you to everyone at Paradise Beach for an...
Read moreLast Saturday, we embarked on a culinary adventure to a teeny-tiny beach restaurant and bar in Puerto Banus, right by the lovely Playa Levante in Marbella. It may be small, but boy, was it a sight for sore eyes!
Our charming guide for the evening was Robin, a smiley dude all the way from Colombia. This guy was friendly, attentive, and had a knack for helping us choose the perfect grub in record time. We kicked things off with a fizzy drink called "Juve Camps Cava" and dove into three delectable starter pinchos: Cabra, Bríe, and FOI-grass (fancy, huh?).
For the main event, we ordered the Rosada y Gambas ceviche and the confit bacalao, accompanied by a glass of local white vino. Let me tell you, these dishes were out-of-this-world good! The young and sweet chef, Iasamar, worked some serious kitchen magic to create a perfectly balanced flavor explosion.
Now, let me give a shout-out to the menu as a whole. It was like a harmonious symphony of taste, from the mouthwatering starters to the lip-smacking main courses. And don't even get me started on the cozy vibes of the place. It was like a warm hug for your tummy.
So, if you happen to find yourself in Puerto Banus, do yourself a favor and swing by this gem of a joint. Trust me, it's worth every bite!
