Very poor experience. We visited yesterday and whilst the experience started nice with a lovely girl on front desk, the waiters at the beach were quite rude. They spent most of the time talking to eachother. Toilets broke most of the day and we had to go somewhere else to use a toilet (burger king, five guys or cafe). Whilst this was outside the control of the staff, they weren't accommodating with suggesting where to go. The most helpful people were the security staff. Very nice men and very friendly when we asked them instead of the waiting staff for help on where to go
The food was poor. €18 for two tacos that whilst tasty, had barely any chicken in them. €18 for nachos which weren't nice at all. It was very hard to get the waiters attention to order as they were chatting in a big group and when we were finished with food, it sat there for a long time.
The bill for the day was €190 and we didnt have any drinks because there was no toilet. We also left early. They added a 15% service charge to the bill. Whilst again, the toilet situation was outside of their control, the service was not and we didnt spend more as a result
Jusy an FYI, people do sit on the beach in front of you and you are constantly interrupted for massages and to buy things from people outside the club. This doesnt bother us as it is expected but just an FYI to pick a bed closer in if it would.
Overall, very disappointed. We had been at a beach club at the other side of Marbella the day before and it was such a better experience with the food, atmosphere and amazing staff who just smiled at everyone and interacted. Not asking much. At Banus we were meant to feel like we were an...
Read moreAs a special final lunch in Marbella, we ordered a 300euro Paella as a treat today; half way into our time there we were asked to move tables due to a large booking coming in that they’d forgotten to prepare for, our new table was situated on the sand not within the restaurant platform, next to the smoke of the barbecue, right on the outside; our Paella arrived and as it was being served we were bombarded by birds and flies! I was whacking the plate in front of me to fend off the flies and then having to move to the side table where the other half of the Paella waited to fend off birds that were happily tucking into and standing in the pan! In the end neither of us had more than a bite before we decided we were fighting a losing battle! Our meal was tainted and ruined. We decided to pay and leave as there was no way of cleaning critters off the food and intended on leaving to eat elsewhere, the card machine was glitching and this gave us time to calm, as payment went through I asked for us to speak to the manager to complain, basically as we explained what our situation was to the manager it became clearer that we should be compensated and we should not have paid for food we were unable to eat, likely if we’d not been moved that we would not have been bombarded with critters! After hours of arguing, phone calls back and forth with card company with security guards breathing down our necks, they’ve apparently refunded 150euros so half the price of the inedible meal. Terrible experience to have on our last...
Read moreI recently visited Banus Beach and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. We chose to rent sunbeds at a nearby establishment, which offered much more reasonable prices compared to the exorbitant rates at Banus Beach. However, we still ordered cocktails and drinks from Banus Beach’s bar.
The issue arose when we needed to use the toilet facilities. Despite being paying customers for their drinks, the security staff at Banus Beach refused to let us use the toilets because we hadn’t rented sunbeds from them. This policy felt extremely unfair and discriminatory, especially since we were patronizing their bar.
What made matters worse was the sense that we were being judged based on our appearance. It seemed like the security staff made a snap judgment about us, leading to a rather humiliating and disappointing experience, especially as I was there with my daughter.
I strongly urge others who value respectful and humane treatment to reconsider supporting Banus Beach. It’s concerning to think that your appearance or where you choose to rent sunbeds could affect the level of service and access you receive. This experience was far from the standard of hospitality one would expect, and I would recommend finding other venues that treat all guests with equal respect and...
