UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR FROM THE BARTENDER — A RUINED EXPERIENCE
I recently visited See Grill Marbella with a friend, drawn by the beautiful view and relaxing atmosphere mentioned in the reviews. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of sitting AT THE BAR, hoping to enjoy the stunning view and have a pleasant moment. BAD DECISION.
And yet, the setting is absolutely beautiful: the restaurant’s location is exceptional, the view over the sea is breathtaking — almost surreal — and the atmosphere is carefully curated, especially thanks to the music. You clearly understand why the prices are high: it’s a place designed to offer a high-end, elegant, unforgettable experience.
UNFORTUNATELY, ALL OF THAT WAS COMPLETELY RUINED BY THE BARTENDER’S BEHAVIOR.
He SAW us — we couldn’t have been more visible — but DELIBERATELY chose to ignore us. NO MENU. NO GREETING. NO SERVICE. NOTHING. For 30 long minutes, he mixed drinks, smiled at others, laughed with his colleagues — and pretended we weren’t even there. This wasn’t poor service. This was BLATANT DISRESPECT.
Let me be clear: we were two WOMEN OF COLOR, with NORTH AFRICAN HERITAGE and DARKER SKIN. Every other guest — all of them white — received prompt, polite, even warm attention. We were the only ones treated like INVISIBLE GHOSTS.
It’s impossible not to see the pattern. And it’s unacceptable. This wasn’t a misunderstanding. This was CALCULATED EXCLUSION. And in a place that sells itself as “high-end”? It was not just disappointing — it was OFFENSIVE.
The bartender in question had LIGHT BROWN HAIR and a BEARD. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name — not that he ever offered it.
If management TRULY cares about its reputation, they need to act. Staff like this DO NOT belong in hospitality — especially not in establishments that pretend to offer a premium experience.
I later learned that in Spain, guests have the legal right to request the "libro de reclamaciones" (official complaints book). Had I known, I would’ve asked for it on the spot. Instead, I’m here writing this — not for revenge, but for ACCOUNTABILITY.
I HOPE NO ONE ELSE — especially NO OTHER PERSON OF COLOR — has to experience this kind of treatment at See Grill. This review is not meant to discredit the restaurant as a whole, but the bartender’s attitude completely...

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Sea Grill, a restaurant located in the picturesque setting of Puente Romano in Marbella. While the overall experience was a mix of highs and lows, I would like to provide an honest review of my time there.
First and foremost, I must commend the staff at Sea Grill for their attentive service. They were friendly, accommodating, and ensured a pleasant dining experience. The beautiful panoramic view from the restaurant added to the ambiance and created a lovely atmosphere.
Now, let's delve into the culinary aspect. The chicken tikka masala was undoubtedly the standout dish of the evening. It was prepared to perfection, with a delicious blend of flavors that pleased the palate. The tender chicken and rich, creamy sauce truly impressed me. This dish was a testament to the culinary skills of the chef.
However, I must also express my disappointment with the fish tikka masala. Unfortunately, the taste was bitter and over-spiced, resulting in a less enjoyable dining experience. Even the waiter acknowledged the issue, which was appreciated. Additionally, the naan bread served alongside the meal was burnt, which further detracted from the overall impression.
Considering the reputation and location of Sea Grill, I had higher expectations for the food quality. While the chicken tikka masala was exceptional, the inconsistency in the preparation of the fish tikka masala and the burnt naan bread was disheartening.
In conclusion, Sea Grill offers a pleasant dining experience with attentive service and a stunning view. The standout dish of the evening was the chicken tikka masala, which was truly delightful. However, the underwhelming experience with the fish tikka masala and burnt naan bread left room for improvement. I hope this review provides valuable feedback for Sea Grill, enabling them to further enhance their culinary offerings and deliver consistently exceptional...
Read moreHad dinner there tonight on our last night in Marbella, we were very excited as we had heard great things about this place. The location is beautiful with the sea view.. however… as this place is quite high end I would say I couldn’t help but think because we may not have looked like we “fit in” we didn’t have expensive clothes or jewellery were everyone seemed to have I felt we were neglected. It took us 45 minutes to get our sangria and they hadn’t even asked for our food order so I had to call a separate waiter to come take our food order.. we ordered starters and mains and waited ages when the restaurant inside was empty! when our food came they bought out starters and mains at the same time which made us rush our food as our main was getting cold whilst we were trying to enjoy our starters. Not only did I notice everyone was getting their drinks poured and asked how their meal was going, we had none of that not once did someone come to check on our table. Furthermore, my friend has ordered a vegan paella and was not told it was for a minimum of 2 people only when we all had our food the waited came to tell us which bare in mind we had been told when ordering the dish would take 45mins to make. So what we wait another 45 mins for her food whilst we all already eating ours? Just to top everything up after we addressed these issues the manager offered to give us a Sangría on the house? When the first took 45 mins to come in the first place! The cherry on the top was when we got our bill and it said we had ordered 2 sangrias when we only had one! Was not impressed. Especially being a payed customer but feeling like because we don’t belong with the rich we don’t deserve to be treated as equals. The food was nice don’t get me wrong but overall a really bad experience. We were a group of 5 and none of us were happy with...
