Came here while on holiday. We expected big things based on the previous reviews but were left disappointed. It wasn't bad, but wasn't nowhere near good. One of our party has a mushroom allergy, so when ordering I asked the waitress if our dishes has mushrooms in - she said no and then all of the mains came out with them in. Spring rolls were good, kids enjoyed the curry but everything else was average and not as good as our local takeaway at home. The service was insanely rushed, we ordered and the food was out in less than 5 minutes, and we ordered quite a bit. While eating we kept hearing the microwave ping which is not expected for a restaurant. We will not return, mogan has many other restaurants at similar prices which are so much better than this
In regards to your reply below, yes I did ask the server about the mushrooms (as it says in my review above) and she said there wasn't any in anything we ordered. You say your food is 'simple'. I fully agree, but that's why I gave you a 3 star. We wasn't expecting simple, we was expecting a restaurant style freshly cooked Chinese, not a simple microwaved one. We have found many great restaurants in mogan. If anyone wants a good meal I would recommend namaste (indian) or n44...

Also the reason I said 'Chinese woman' is that many restaurants employ other Nationalities- obviously you don't (very sad you have to be nasty with your racist comment, you appear to have a very large chip on your shoulder) The sarcastic owner replied with nasty comments he gives to everyone leaving a poor review. He should realise his restaurant is NOT up to standard. Makes you wonder who does leave 'good' reviews???? ** Pity I had to give any stars. Went 3nts ago,Chinese woman approached us, I asked for a table for two. Didn't acknowledge us @ all,no greeting,no smile, carried on speaking to a customer. She then proceeded to throw 2 menus onto a table, looked @ us ( I think it was a message that was our table) then walked away- as we did. Appalling non existent...
Read moreThis spot was a real letdown, and honestly, I felt like I walked straight into a tourist trap. The avocado with shrimp? Completely basic. You could find the same dish just about anywhere, and it wouldn’t stand out. But what really did it for me was the main course. The Udon noodles with a few veggies and shrimp tasted like something you’d get from a cheap street food vendor. There was zero creativity, just bland, forgettable flavors.
The atmosphere didn’t do much to help either—cramped seating, with tables packed in too tightly. The service? Rushed, like they just wanted to turn over the table as fast as possible. No eye contact, no personal connection—it felt like they were on a mission to get you in and out in record time.
It’s such a shame because there are already plenty of places like this on the island, offering the same predictable dishes under a different name. Definitely no reason for me...
