Staff made this a -one visit is enough- experience! Our first visit to this restaurant. We were keen on Chinese food and did go for Pekin Wok. Being used to other Chinese buffé restaurants on GC we were very disappointed with this restaurant. Staff not very friendly at all (they look mostly like they wanted to go home for the day), the mongolian wok corner was lame and we did not even get to choose cooking sauce with the dish. Selection of food quite OK but not much variation in taste. So, had it not been for the staff situation (which is strange given the competition with another Chinese buffet restaurant just 20 meters away in the mall) we would not write this review however when this is the memory we bring back home with us I think it’s fair to share this impression. On top, the price 14.99 euro for the buffe does not include VAT (IVA) so the total is raising by 7% before you are done with paying for the food! I think it’s kind of dishonest to promote restaurant food prices without VAT (IVA) included. It sends a bad taste...
Read more🛑Check carefully your receipt because waiter added extra €20.oo to our the bill!!! 🛑 Not nice impression at the end! €12.98 per person. During our holiday we visited Wok Pekin a 3 times. I'm not fan of this place but I tried to not moaned on holiday😇 First time we ate nice, fresh food but 2ed time I had doubt... I love sushi! First day it was lovely but next time... Sushi wasn't fresh everywhere flying flys 🪰 Really disgusting! Food it was fried in deep oil and some dishes tasted very oily and not nice. Beef like chewing gum. Dessert - only ice cream. Very cheap ice creams, unbranded and wasn't nice+ peach and pineapple, no more choice of dessert. Only chicken, fish, steak and ducks tasted very nice, fresh roasted (I saw). Service it's nice, but place as well but average. I don't want to back if I will be again in Puerto Rico. Not the best place and you can easy find something better for...
Read moreI have been coming here for many many years but unfortunately this visit was by far not the best. Greeted by the owner as usual with open arms and welcomed to a lovely table outside. The staff are always lovely here. Unfortunately the food let them down this time. There was only about an inch of Chicken soup in the huge pot and this was mostly sweetcorn. The soup was tepid (I love hot soup). There was no bread left. So we were pretty much coming to the end of a busy afternoon and they were extremely slow in refreshing stuff for the evening customers. The poppadoms were warm and soggy so it's clear too many are made and then left out to go off. The ice cream was scraping the barrel too. The problem with buffets is that if the food is left out too long it dries up and overcooks or goes soggy. Little and often is best here. I will return though and give them...
