Review: Disappointed After Years of Loyalty

We’ve visited this restaurant many times over the years and have always enjoyed excellent food and good service. However, after our recent experience, we won’t be booking or returning again.

We had a reservation for 8:45 PM and arrived just five minutes late. Despite this, we were rushed through our meal and told we needed to vacate the table shortly after being offered dessert. Staff claimed we were “extremely late,” yet the time was only 9:55 PM—just 1 hour and 10 minutes after our scheduled booking. We paid the bill at 10:04 PM, which confirms we were well within the typical 90-minute window.

While we understand the pressures of peak season and the need to manage table timings, the way this was handled felt abrupt and rude. After years of dining here, it was a disappointing way...

We sat down after waitress told us where to sit, and then we waited 10 minutes, and then we saw some older, white (they simply look more wealthy) people getting in and server gave them menus right when they arrived, only after that we asked them for the menus and after a minute or two - we finally received them. 2 servers, and one assistant, and all the time it looked like an assistant worked the most and she was the one who treated us well. I wish she was the one to give us the bill so we give the bigger tip to her directly since she deserves it. Overall, food is ok, pretty average, nothing so super awsome (and no parmesan on the side with pasta 🥲). I don’t see what’s the hype about this venue. Espresso martini is a bit watery, so another dissapointment. The venue has potential, but they either need to hire more staff, or staff simply needs to do a bit more. We’ve seen a lot of venues with less staff on more tables that handle it...

We stopped here for lunch in January 2025. We did not think that we would need to book as it was a Sunday the first week of January however the restaurant was packed and we appreciated that we were found a table. We both decided on pizza. Whilst waiting for our pizza’s we were given a lovely canape on the house. When the pizzas arrived they tasted delicious with lovely thin tasty crusts. The Italian house red wine was excellent! For dessert we chose Panna Cotta and Pistachio Souffle. Sadly in our opinion these were both disappointing. The Panna Cotta was way too firm with no “wobble” whatsoever although the fruit compote style dressing that it came with was very nice. The Pistachio Souffle had very little taste.
