La Dama — Restaurant in Nerja

Since moving to live in Spain LA Dama has been frequently used by us. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. The lady owner who is also the Chef knows her customers extremely well and has always made us very welcome . But after our visit this evening it is highly unlikely we use the place again. It is nothing to do with the food. It was the rude attitude of the waiter. We was seated by a waiter ordered drinks and then told not asked to move table by the second waiter. We had already given our drinks order to the waiter who had initially seated us. Then the rude waiter demanded we order with him again. We obliged and placed both drinks and food order. The Pil Pil came back with tomatoes, which had clearly been requested to omitted. He snatched the dish and returned with the correct order and almost threw it at us. We requested the bill when we had finished. I was paying on a debit card ( UK Bank). I wanted to pay in UK currency. He snatched the card reader before I had the opportunity to press the GBP button and said no, you will pay in Euros whilst you are in Spain. His attitude was appauling and made our visit very pleasant and uncomfortable. It was my intention to speak to the owner but she was extremely busy. I'm surprised to see the rating of this place isn't like 2 stars. It was literally one of the worse things I have eaten in my life. Calling what they serve there "pizza" is an insult. We ordered 3 pizzas to go, we waited outside having a coke and noticed there were roaches crawling outside. When I went back in to see if our food was ready the grumpy old pirate looking lady that cooks there asked me if I had ordered 3 pizzas, I said yes and she answered in a very rude way something like "well, there you have 'em".. kinda hard to translate but trust me, not friendly at all. I checked if the pizzas, which were already inside the boxes just left in a corner table, were cut and they weren't. I asked if they could be cut and the reply was a "no, I'm busy". Alright.. off to have dinner we go. What a disaster, the dough was raw in the center and burnt on the edges and tasted like styrofoam. There was almost no cheese but the little there was was completely horrible and the tomato sauce was acid. We didn't eat 2 and a half of the 3 pizzas because they were literally trash. AVOID this place like the plague, I really can't understand how they are still...

Horrible experience. Unfortunately we went there because our place was closed and fully regret. We asked for 2 coke , 2glass with ice 2 slices of lemon for it and pizza Funghi. We get 1 cokes , 2 glasses ( in one of the glass was bit of blood as waiter had a cut and didn't use a wound patch immediately ). Then i asked for a lemon again(as he forgot) and change the glass with ice . So he changed the glass but put the same ice … ok... pizza.. i m 100 % sure this was not mozzarella cheese . I m sorry but really bad service and food ( even the lemon's plate was dirty ) .Even if the pizza is very cheap , you can get awesome service for the same price next door . i m really not demanding customer but people, please. Provide the service in that way as you would like to be served. I m bet you would not like to get dirty glasses and pizza with different ingredients than at menu , as i think its disrespect for yours clients and they pay...
