Pizzería Antica Roma 95 S.L. — Restaurant in Nerja

We were in Nerja for a few days as our friends got married in Maro. We ended up eating here twice as it was one of the few places in Nerja that could not only accommodate a large group of ~10 people but could do so without a reservation.

The staff is so engaging and on top of it. The view from the patio is perfect as is the sea breeze. The food is tasty and affordable.

We are so thankful to the staff for giving us a place to gather as it's been years since we were able to all be together (I'm sorry we closed down the place both times we were there but we are thankful for your patience!). On our second visit, they brought out shots of limoncello for the group to celebrate my birthday.... then when they found out the bride and groom got married the day before, they presented them with a bottle of champagne. My girlfriend and I tried to reserve a table for a Wednesday evening during our holiday, but were told “just come.” That was fine. What wasn’t fine, however, is that I specifically asked the waitress, “So it’s okay if we just come on Wednesday?” and she reassured us, “Yes, of course, just come on Wednesday.”

So we did — or at least we tried. To our absolute surprise, the restaurant was CLOSED on Wednesdays. Nobody mentioned this, even though I had asked directly. It was very disappointing, as we had planned our last holiday dinner there on the terrace overlooking the beautiful sea and we found out there at time of the planned dinner.

Absolutely appalling service in this place tonight, if I could give 0 stars I would. Firstly the waiters messed up our drink order which I know isn’t a major issue, but when the food came out all the meals came out except one. We initially thought this would follow but we waited until we all finished our meals, it took me to ask the waiter for them to recognise the mistake. They quickly turned around the meal but when it come out the quality was appalling, you could tell it had been rushed. Not at any one time did the waiters apologise! Absolutely disgraceful service, an actual shame as we have been here many times before. I certainly will not be going back after our experience...
