This place came highly recommended on an FB group I joined, and it did not disappoint. Firstly I'd recommend booking. We were lucky and the friendly helpful staff found us a table even without a booking, but it was obviously a very popular restaurant. We had a drink at the bar while our table was prepared, a dark rum and coke and a Bacardi and coke. These were probably the largest measures we were served during our stay in Nerja. We were off to a good start. We started with poppadoms and the pickle tray. The poppadoms were warm, fresh, and crispy, and the accompaniments were excellent. The mango chutney and lime pickle were outstanding. We did not order starters, just main courses. A Chicken Shashlik, a Chicken Rogan Josh, Pillau Rice, and a plain Naan. Rogan Josh is my mum's first choice when ordering curries, and she said this was up with the best she'd had. My Shashlick came on a sizzling platter. Large pieces of chicken, charred onion, and red & green peppers. The chicken was juicy and very tasty, although I did nick a bit of my mum's Rogan Josh sauce as I do like some sauce with my Shashlik. The Naan was perfect with scorched blisters showing it has been traditionally cooked. The pillau rice was also spot on. The service throughout the meal was brilliant. The waiter and waitress were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and our evening was rounded off nicely with a complimentary liqueur. I would definitely recommend a visit to...

Extremely friendly staff. We arrived without a reservation. Although busy we was assured a place would be found. We needed outside as there is a small step into the restaurant my husband couldn't manage. Still no problem and a table was sorted outside on the terrace. I am a regular curry diner, so was excited to try this restaurant that had mixed reviews. The service was impeccable!!. Starter of onion bhaji...we ordered 1 serving each and was told they are big!!!. So we went for 1 serving which was 2 very large, original style bharji.....fabulous!! Not had them like this for many years. Followed by a chicken vindaloo.. amazing!!!! Full of spices, and taste was mouth watering. Side dished with nann and pilau rice. My husband asked for a taste nit on the menu, and was promptly told...NO problem, of course sir. we had a bottle of wine, served by a lovely waiter who offered me to taste first...how gentlemanly. The price was excellent too. We waited a short time for our main course but was told it was because of my husband's choice, followed by an apology for the delay. In all a fabulous, tasty meal, good wine and priced not to break the bank. 1 word of advice.... book if possible before you go so you don't miss out on this little Indian restaurant gem. Many thank to all the staff who made our night...

Worst food experience you can expect!! Would ask to avoid this place if you can search for other options.

We were in the beautiful town of Nerja, and happened to pass this restaurant and thought of having a quick bite as it was evening snack time and The Manager/owner was the most rude person we came across as it seemed this place only welcomes non-Indians ( probably) and food quality was way below average and felt like they served some left overs from previously prepped dishes.

Overall if there was an option to give negative rating would have given that.

Only recommendation is DO NOT spoil your mood or...

The best Indian food I’ve ever had in my life. I still think about it. The chicken korma is absolutely delicious and sweet and creamy and with lots of chicken. We also got the fried fish appetizer (I can’t remember the name) and it came with a delicious yogurt sauce. I would come to nerja just for this restaurant. Service is great. On a quiet street so if you sit out front it is nice but they also have an open air terrace/courtyard that is very nice. I recommend this to everyone even if you don’t like Indian food!
