Centric and perfect place for meeting those who deserve it at the crossroads of all roads. Whatever your transportation, even for pedestrians, we quickly find one of the best locations in front of the Plaza de España for a patient meeting point. With fireplaces warming the outer terrace aside, palm trees and other plants make it more enjoyable. The staff is skilled and prompted to serve and answer one's requests. There was a useful plug to charge a mobile in need of it. Buses, taxis, trains, and metro all lead to this easy to find and cosy place. A staple of the city. Bar Cristal first opened its doors in 1955 and went through some change of ownership and renovations in the past years during the pandemic . Now it’s back with a facelift and the same quality food and drinks. It’s best for breakfast and brunch but also good for some tapas over lunch. We've had dinner at this restaurant for the first time tonight, and we've really enjoyed the experience. We appreciate the great attention from the waitresses, and the food was really good (we've had calamares, beef tenderloin, and a Cristal sandwich).
