Awful experience!! Ordered cosmopolitan and spaghetti carbonara. 1st picture is of very red cosmopolitan which was not cold at all....and certainly did not tasted like cosmopolitan should - it tasted like some fruit syrup with alcohol.
I sent it back asking to be shaken with ice as that one was warm. At this point pasta came, nice dish presentation - I give them 1 star for that.
1st swirl of spaghetti on the fork, there is a black long hair in it 😳 At this point I am discussed with everything and server is nowhere to be found.
Sun is blazing again after it was hiding in the clouds for a while and I've decided to move inside. At the same time server is bringing me another "cosmopolitan" (2rd picture) in margarita glass 🤦♀️
After I told him that I was moving inside since sun was in face, he.rolled his eyes and followed me to a new table where I told him about the hair in pasta and he seemed not to understand what I was saying....I guess they understand English if everything is okay but not when something is bad on their part. Also, I've ordered bottle water when pasta came...never got the water!
I've tasted my new drink, and again very fruity sweet syrup with some strong alcohol taste, and of course it was not cold, again!
At this point I just wanted to leave and move on with my day. So when it came to pay...they charged me for uneated pasta with hair in it, not drinkable "cosmopolitan" and even water that I never got!!!!!!
I told the server that I was not paying something that it was not edible and water that I never got, and he seemed shocked about it...they took water off but I end up paying for pasta (with hair in it) and awful drink they call cosmopolitan!!
I will never again go there, and I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone! Not even for a...
Read moreWe were greeted very warmly and given some welcome shots which we didn’t expect so the meal started off great! I personally liked my pizza (caprese) a lot where my friends (ragazza) said it was okay in their opinion. The sangria was one of my favourites in Spain, a little fizzy!
Now as for the service, our waitress was pretty rude and short with us. I don’t know if she’s like this every day or she just had an off day but complete 180 from how we were greeted by the others. No smile on her face EVER and I swear she looked at me like I was stupid when I asked for agua grifo (tap water) even after I asked again in English. It’s not hard to tell me sorry no Spanish even though we’re literally on a Spanish island and also just say sorry we can only offer you bottle because you don’t want to drink the tap water here like another restaurant told us nicely the following day. Her attitude was very off putting, she tried giving one word answers as much as possible and honestly gave us a little sass (not the funny kind) at some points. She kind of intimidated us because we didn’t really want to ask for anything else so she would become annoyed since she looked pretty damn annoyed already. All in all, decent/good food (depending how picky you are) but if we got any other waiter/waitress than her the experience would’ve been quite...
Read moreWe had a chance to dine in at Linos Bar & Restaurant. The staff immediately welcomed us and the service was swift in general. Burrata as a started was exceptional, red sangria likewise. Seafood paella really hit the spot, though I would recommend at least 3-4 people to share the course — it was massive and we had to take some away.
The only disappointment we would mention is Spaghetti Carbonara — there is completely nothing Italian about this dish — for some reason the recipe includes heavy cream, some cheap-end ham (nothing compared to the traditional Italian pancetta), fresh parsley on top and no eggs..
The waiter apologised and explained there are strict hygiene regulations when preparing eggs in Spain and therefore Carbonara is usually not made with eggs.
Overall we had nice...
