BAUM Blanquerna — Restaurant in Palma

Very disappointing experience, even more disappointed now when I read all the good comments here in reviews, knowing that my evening today was an absolute joke at Baum. We sat at 9pm and ordered 3 tapas, one salad and one main. At 11.15 we had our main at the table and one of the tapas…. The service was extremely slow, clearly the staff were struggling but they could have warned us in the beginning that there will be delays but they did not! We cancelled the rest of the food and barely touched the one we received because the steak was cold and hard, even though we ordered it Medium Rare. The whole experience was just sad. We got home hungry with no options of food because it was already past midnight. Not to mention the fact that other people got their food and drinks and kind service, and our table was just completely forgotten and ignored, probably because they did not want to deal with tourists or speak English. There was another table , a British couple , who also got fed up waiting and left. I have worked in hospitality and service industry for years, as a waitress, chef , team leader and so on, but never in my life have I seen such negligence and chaos. Please, when you are understaffed, do not sit any more tables because you are making it hard for the clients and for your own staff! When you make someone’s night so horrible like mine, they will not come back to your restaurant ever again. That is just simply NOT how you manage a business. Wish you best of luck , but definitely not coming back there or recommending...

I came from foreign country to Spain and I've never tried tapas before and I'm glad that I've tried them exactly here for the first time because they were amazing! Moreover, I like medium rare steaks so that one I ate was juicy and cooked exactly as I wanted. Adding to this, the best part was a bartender because I don't drink alcohol and I asked him to make me a non-alcohol cocktail so using his imagination he made me the best cocktail I’ve ever tried. In the beginning it was hard to express what I want because I don't speak Spanish and then one man came to me and helped to communicate and then I realized that was an employer of the "Baum" so we chatted a little bit and he appeared to be a nice guy, very pleasant...

Pongo una estrella porque no puedo poner 0, pero si no la pondría, esa es mi opinion... Pagamos 25 euros por persona y entraba cena mas espectáculo, la cena constaba de hummus de garbanzo normal y corriente y otro hummus de remolacha con cudités ( a mi no me gusta el hummus por eso no lo elegimos en el menú) asi que me alimenté de palitos de zanahoria y pepino. De primero solo 2 croquetas, literalmente SOLO 2, una de espinacas y otra de cebolla caramelizada sobre un plato lleno de lechuga, cuando en la carta pone croquetas variadas, variadas de que? Solo dos de distinto sabor? Ni si quiera nos dieron a elegir de que sabor queríamos la ÚNICA croqueta que nos comimos. De plato principal curri verde con pollo y arroz basmati, 5 cachos pequeños de pollo, solo 5 por persona y con un arroz completamente pasado, lo único que se puede llegar a salvar es el postre, una tarta de queso al horno y una carrot cake ( que por la textura y el como estaba cortada daba la sensacion de que no estaba echa por ellos mismos ) la verdad es que es carísimo por lo que hemos comido, que sin broma alguna, hemos tenido que ir a Mc Donalds a cenar un par de hamburguesas porque nos quedamos con hambre. Respecto al local muy bonito pero demasiada gente, nos sentaron en una mesa mas pequeña que las sillas donde no cabíamos ni estábamos cómodos. La gente y los camareros pasaban y nos rozaban o empujaban sin querer. Querer albergar mas de lo que de puede ocupar. Respecto al show es lo único que de verdad vale la pena, las chicas muy profesionales y muy divertidas, lástima que estábamos sentados lejos y no pudimos disfrutar de unos cuantos numeros. El personal es verdad que esta muy atento a si necesitas algo, un dato curioso a sido cuando hemos pagado y a venido el encargado a nuestra mesa para pedirnos que era lo que no nos ha gustado puesto que al finalizar la cena, pusimos los cubiertos de manera que se dieran cuenta que no nos gustó la comida.
