if i were to express my review of this place in the form of dance, it would probably not involve many highs and lows, but a rather steady turning of the arms in mid-height followed by a formal satisfied bow. an honest clap, but with limited enthusiasm.
don't get me wrong – this is a great place ! the tapas are incredibly delicious, really recommend the sea bass ceviche with cabbage, crispy sweet potato skin on a citrus sweet potato puree base. so beautifully draped on ceramic plates with cute patterns and sprinkles, makes me wanna join a pottery class 👐
what's missing is a cozy feeling, an addition to this place that turns it into a space of wonder, curiosity, uniqueness. some artworks and fake plants on the wall don't seem to quite capture that. good variety of lamps, but the lighting is just a little too bright for me. gotta mention that i'm greatful to be able to see each and every colorful particularity of the food decoration though.
while i was happy not to encounter a sign of men & pants or ladies & dresses on the two bathroom doors, i can't say that i was any more convinced by the banana and fig images alluding to people's geni~talia. ohh cis-normativity, why can't trans people just finally rest when we're trying to go to the restroom ?
my favorite thing were the clouds on the toilet paper, a special detail that, in the end, did make my heart dance up...
Read moreNot far from the Plaza de España, at the beginning of Calle Blanquerna, you find this nice little restaurant. The restaurant is quite new in this area and I tasted the daily menu, a two-course lunch menu plus dessert, which they offer midday during the week for just 11,00€ included a drink! The menu really was spectacular (absolutely tasty!) and the service was very attentive and friendly. They also serve Tapas à la carte, which looked also very good! I will definitely come back soon to taste them. From my side a clear recommendation...
Read more🤩 A wonderful and charming place! Excellent menu composition with local specialities and also spectacular fusion combos. Best octopus (pulpo) I ever tasted was here. I also liked a lot the huevos rotos with truffles. They also have tasty high quality 🌱vegetarian and 🌱🌱vegan options. As for drinks, try their local craft beer; the white beer made of wheat (trigo) is my favorite. Sticky toffee for desert. The staff is very attentive and friendly, ready to answer all your question...
