Cervecería Anfos — Restaurant in Palma

Open late until 5pm for lunch. Went there on Friday 22/12/23 before 4pm and it was crowded. Approached by an ignorant racist older male waiter that refused to sit us inside, claiming it’s full yet you can see people are getting ready to leave. We did not let him ruined this visit while he sat us outside. We were served by a sweet lady (wished I got her name), and after taking our order, moved us inside and took care of us with great attention and care. Food like all the great reviews were fresh, and prepared 5 stars. We ordered the set menu for 2 for 95€ and added more shrimp, cockle clams, and grilled vegetables. Total damage was less than 150€ for 3 adults and a 5 year old. It is unfortunate when people write about being mistreated because of race and color, but we should not let a few small-minded people ruin our experience. 5 stars are not enough to rate this place. The seafood was so fresh - you can taste the natural sweetness. The grilled prawns were my favourite because they were lightly grilled for the natural flavours to shine through. All the dishes were not heavily seasoned - which I prefer. The fish was cooked to perfection - crispy skin and soft flakey flesh.

I do wish I had brought my own seafood from the market as they can cook it for you for a small fee.

I would recommend the"menu del día" opción which includes a large player of clamshells and delicious shrimps and mussels followed by a large player of calamari which can be made in it's own ink and tastes so good. The main course is fish that they get from the market next door at the time of your order so it couldn't be fresher. There's two choices of fish: "Gallo de San Pedro" is my favorite.
