A Night to Remember at Grand Siena
From the moment I stepped into Grand Siena, nestled along the shimmering waterfront of Palma’s port, I knew I was in for something extraordinary. The golden glow of the chandeliers bathed the elegant dining room in warmth, while the panoramic views of the cathedral and Bellver Castle framed the horizon like a painting crafted by the heavens. The gentle hum of laughter and clinking glasses blended with the soft rhythm of the sea, setting the stage for a night that would etch itself into my heart forever.
The staff greeted me with a kindness that felt like coming home. Our server, Costanza, moved with a grace and attentiveness that made every moment feel personal, as if she knew the weight of the evening I was hoping to create. It was my first visit to Mallorca, a trip I’d dreamed of since I was a child, listening to my grandmother’s stories of this island’s magic. Grand Siena was her favorite place, she’d said, where the food and the views could make you feel alive in a way few things could. Sitting there, I felt her presence, as if she were smiling across the table, her eyes sparkling with pride.
The menu was a love letter to the senses. I started with the carpaccio of wagyu, its delicate slices melting on my tongue, kissed by a whisper of truffle oil that carried me back to those childhood dreams. The uramaki spicy tuna followed, each bite a perfect harmony of heat and cool, fresh and fiery, like the island itself. But it was the torrija with vanilla ice cream that undid me—a dessert so exquisite, so reminiscent of my grandmother’s own caramel-drizzled treats, that tears welled up as I savored it. Each bite was a bridge to her memory, a fleeting moment where time folded, and I could feel her love wrapped around me.
The ambiance was nothing short of magical. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the terrace glowed under the stars, and the live music—a soft melody of Spanish guitar—wove through the air, tugging at my heartstrings. I watched couples sway, friends laugh, and strangers share stories, all united by this place that felt like a sanctuary of joy. The view of the cathedral, illuminated against the night sky, was a sight that stirred something deep within me—a reminder of life’s fleeting beauty.

Tucked along a sun-kissed stone street in Mallorca, where the air hums with sea breeze and quiet elegance, lies Grand Siena — not just a restaurant, but a sanctuary of taste and time.
From the moment you cross its threshold, you're wrapped in an atmosphere that hums like a quiet symphony — the clink of crystal, the rustle of linen, the soft cadence of Mediterranean conversation. Yet nothing prepares you for the true poetry that follows: the food.
The cuisine sings. Each dish arrives like a stanza in a love letter to the senses — burrata as soft as morning light, kissed with heirloom tomatoes still warm from the sun; saffron-infused risotto that dances on the tongue like golden hour over Palma’s rooftops. The seafood, caught hours before, tells a tale of salt and waves and skillful hands. Every bite is a slow crescendo of flavor, composed with reverence, plated like art, and served without pretension.
And the drinks... oh, the drinks. Wines from whispering Spanish vineyards uncorked with ceremony, their bouquets bold and knowing. Cocktails arrive as miniature stories — a rosemary-smoked gin martini that tastes like dusk in the hills; a lavender negroni that blooms slowly, sip by slow sip, under candlelight.
The service is like a well-timed verse: attentive but invisible, gracious without flourish. They know when to linger, when to vanish.
At Grand Siena, dining becomes memory — not just of what you tasted, but of how you felt while tasting it. It’s not merely a meal. It’s Mallorca,...
Read moreAfter initial 5 star review during our first visit, unfortunately need to adjust this after our second experience there. 1st time everything was great, made a reservation, were seated for dinner and staff were pretty quick and attentive despite place being crowded. Food was good, drinks were great. 2nd time we walked in without reservation for drinks and were 3rd in queue but very fast seating by the hostess. After 30 minutes nobody came to pick our order and others coming through after us were already served. Had to ask the hostess to help. and she personally sent the drinks order. Drinks came after 10 minutes and later we wanted to order food, waited another 30 minutes. Interacted with a server but she only brings items to table, told us to talk to her colleague. The hostess intervened again to ask server to come to us and she ignored our table. After another 15 minutes we stood up and went to pay for the check directly, without wanting to wait more again. There were 2 other tables who left due to waiting time during this. Hostess was constantly checking which table needs attending probably due to acknowledged poor table management. Tables which ordered food from the start were constantly being attended, seems like the other tables for drinks only not as much. Drinks were still good, left without eating or ordering another drinks round. Understaffed probably, but not an excuse for...
