BeeWi — Restaurant in Palma

This WAS our favourite place for breakfast on previous trips to Mallorca. So we arrived there on Monday morning (24th Seotember 2018) with high expections, only to be "greeted' by a fairly gruff and surly waiter to whom we felt like an inconvenience. Breakfast was adequate, but not to previous standards and let's just say that if you weren't young, pretty and female then you'd very little chance of getting much attention. It wasn't just us - a group of Dutch tourists wanted a mix of breakfast dishes and drinks and the waiter seemed impatient with them and less than helpful. They left without ordering. So at the end of the meal we paid and left without giving a tip. On Thursday morning (today) we decided to try again. So we sit down at 11am (breakfasts are served til noon) and select our options. The same waiter - without even stopping - tells us that breakfasts are finished. He can see we look shocked and adds - "there is electric problem in kitchen". So we get up and leave, though we can clearly see that it's a very recent electrical problem as other people are tucking into cooked breakfast dishes. I past this place the night before and it was jumping. Same time 24hrs later and was pretty quiet. I ordered the rump steak cap and asked for rare as in red rare as the waitress put it. As a surprise the steak came in two 10mm thick slices pre sliced so no need use the knife that came with it unless you want to cut it into smaller bits. The dip which came along with it looks like an olive/pepper dip which was nice but own preference is with mustard but we are in Spain so go with the flow. The steak was not rare more like medium done but at least it wasn’t chewy but nice all the same. The steak came with potato and small Spanish peppers…a large plate at that. For dessert the waitress gave me a selection and I opted for a brownie with ice cream. The brownie was a little dry so thankfully I had ice cream to melt over it overall a good meal with pleasant staff. I was to give them 1 star but I change it to two because they, at least, tried to emend their errors (they offered us free desserts). It was Saturday night and we had a reservation for 7, we knew we couldn't expect their best service because it was a very busy night. However, our experience was awful. THE SERVICE: they only served 3 of us, and it wasn't until 1h later than the rest got served. If this wasn't awful enough, most of the orders were wrongly taken. THE FOOD: the hamburgers were wrongly cooked, the meat had no flavor and it didn't look like it was of high/average quality. We also ordered rice & curry with chicken (I can't recall the exact name), but I didn't like it. Even though the chicken was placed in a "pool" of curry sauce, it was tasteless and extremely dry.
