Delicious, fresh, well portioned. I order the grilled prawns, mango & avocado salad, comes with a balsamic glaze, extra olive oil and vinaigrette to dress yourself, washed down with a nicely balanced, refreshing and generous glass of sangria (shoutout to the bartender). I skipped lunch so was quite hungry and decided to get the jamón croquettes (homemade), couldn't resist my obsession for alioli so got that to dip it with but honestly, unless you are like me and could eat alioli on anything, the croquettes are perfect on their own. Of course, I have a special stomach for dessert so had to go for the recommended baked cheesecake (sooo good!), enjoyed slow but steadily with a fresh espresso. Rotheo & and another lady (very sorry for misspelling & forgetting name btw...was distracted by this meal) were amazing hosts, her attention to detail, friendliness, professionalism (and patience for my very beginner Spanish) was fantastic. They are new but honestly felt like they've been there in business for many many years. Indoor and outdoor seating, right across from the marina (perfect to walk off this fabulous meal). The Galician creme liqueur & espresso was a very nice touch, really appreciated this kind gesture :) Will definitely be back and definitely dragging friends to join along. Muchas...
Read moreOn a wet, cold night in Palma, we were greeted with smiles on our entrance. The very kind waitress helped us with our choice off the wine/food menus. A local, questioned our sanity at tackling such a vast meal, presented at our table He was right of course, because this tapas bar, serves good quality tapas, and very generous portions. And with Roxy music playing in the background, we moved off our bar stools, onto the adjacent table and chairs at a slightly lower level. At which point we were fortunate to be introduced to Pablo, and his Mum, sitting opposite. Over a glass of Rioja, we solved world peace, history of Palma and The Potteries, were discussed as we then finished Amandas birthday celebrations with Pablos mums, very famous cheesecake. Washed down with a complimentary glass of cava. We both really enjoyed the evening, and to top the night, it was a pleasure to chat with Pablo Simple food, in a simple setting, by really genuine people If you're in the area, give them a try Plus, meal considering quality, was very reasonable Cheers Paul, from...
Read more€8.90 for a tinto de verano. Not a signature cocktail, not a vintage wine, not an exotic elixir flown in from the Himalayas — just your classic wine and soda combo. Artisan robbery, perhaps? Or maybe they’re mixing Vega Sicilia with Sprite now? €7.40 for a glass of wine (La Celestina, according to the receipt - you can find a whole bottle in the supermarket for less than that). I asked for a Ribera.
Best part? Food prices are proudly listed on the website, but drink prices? Mysteriously absent. And on the same receipt: a beer for €2.50. So wine with soda costs more than triple. Must be the gourmet ice cubes.
The place was empty. No surprise, really. With this exclusive pricing model, they’ll have a waiting list... in another lifetime.
Receipt attached for the curious. I’ve paid my dues.
Update: They reply with a generic copy-paste apology and no explanation about the prices. So yes — €8.90 for tinto de verano is apparently...
