I recently had the pleasure of dining at an amazing vegan restaurant, where the chef's dedication and care for the food was truly evident in every dish. The restaurant had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with comfortable seating and beautiful decor, which really set the mood for an enjoyable mea.
As I perused the menu, I was impressed by the variety of creative and interesting dishes that were on offer, all of which were completely vegan. I could tell that the chef had put a lot of thought and effort into crafting a menu that not only catered to vegans, but also showcased the diverse flavors and textures that plant-based food can offer.
We started with the homemade carrot alioli and olives, the bread was nice and warm nicely presentes on a chalkboard and we also had baby patties with homemade tartar sauce wich was full of flavour.
For my main course, we ordered the no pollo fajitas, which was a revelation. The no pollo seemed to be marinated in a delicious blend of herbs and spices, and was served within a fajita with vegetables. My wife ordered the spanacopita wich was also incredibly flavourful and came with a nice fresh side salad.
Throughout the meal, I was struck by how much care and attention the chef had put into every aspect of the food. It was clear that they were passionate about creating plant-based dishes that were not only delicious, but also nutritious and visually appealing.
In addition to the amazing food, the service at the restaurant was also exceptional. The chef (Sandra) was happy to answer any questions I had about the menu or the ingredients used.
Overall, I would highly recommend this vegan restaurant to anyone who loves good food and cares about where it comes from. The chef's dedication and care for the food really shines through in every dish, making it an unforgettable...
Read moreSandra, we want you to do well
Let’s start with the positives; our booking was handled well and the service was ok (the waitress was very sweet but couldn’t open a bottle of beer and struggled to clear the table).
Our food was also ok, we shared the spinach croquettes as starter, then I had the burger (which I thought was tasty, perhaps a little too salty) and my wife had the lasagna, again tasty but slightly too salty and served lukewarm.
Now the less positives; the ambience wasn’t great, (hard to create a nice atmosphere when there’s only two couples in the restaurant, so no one’s fault really), however the bar/back of house looked messy and stuff was everywhere. The overall look of the restaurant feels tired and lacks care and love. Not to mention that the microwave’s door was heard a good 5/6 times in the 1.5 hour we were there, nothing against a microwave but when you spend €20 for a main, you don’t want your dish to come out of it.
The owner, Sandra, is obviously talented in creating wonderful vegan dishes, and we really want this place to do well but at this point, we wouldn’t come back.
I don’t think it would take much to improve this place - you could review/shorten the menu, tidy up/refresh the restaurant, and spend some time training the staff and you would truly have a beautiful place.
We Wish them the very best of luck and really do hope this place survives, but I don’t think we’d...
Read moreThe lady was extremely rude and unwelcoming. We had walked 30 minutes all excited after reading so many good reviews. Instead, we were told we were “breaking the rules” simply for holding an almost empty water bottle in 36°C heat. When my brother, who was clearly nauseous, briefly sat down to recover, we were aggressively told to leave. The owner even said it was not her problem that my brother was feeling sick. Unbelievable! Especially from a vegan restaurant where you’d expect more empathy and care. Absolutely do not recommend!
Update after owner’s response: I’ve just read the owner’s reply and want to clarify what really happened. We did not enter with full drinks or try to “occupy” the terrace. One of us was overheated after a 30-minute walk in 36°C heat and briefly sat down to recover while we decided whether to stay or not. We were holding an almost empty water bottle, nothing more, that the lady said we had to hide. Instead of showing understanding, we were aggressively told to leave.
We certainly did not “refuse to leave” in fact, we were on the terrace for less than a minute before being aggressively told to get out. To now see the owner publicly insult us as “rude and maladjusted” is, to me, further proof of the attitude we experienced. This isn’t about “rules” it’s about basic hospitality and compassion, which unfortunately were completely...
