The Guinness House — Restaurant in Palma

Just had lunch there today 28.07.2019. I didn't check any reviews before i went as i thought by the look of the amount of people there i would give it a go. Was so disappointed. It took 30 minutes before waitress gave us the menu. Waitresses seems to be in a rush and lack of customer service. We had to wait another 25 minutes for the food to come. Ordered chicken nuggets and chips for the kids. (Awful and uncooked). Mrs ordered a frappuchino that again turned out to be just a blend one with no taste. Paella was a shamed mostly this being in the middle of tourist attraction. Very pricey. We left all the food with the chicken nuggets and chips untouched. They made us to pay for it and all even though we returned it. I would give this restaurant a minus. I would not recommend this to anyone. Worst ever restaurant in Palma Mallorca. Worst...

With a view that could rival any postcard, this restaurant opposite Palma de Mallorca's majestic cathedral certainly has a prime location. Unfortunately, the stunning scenery is where the charm ends.

I opted for the burger and chips, a simple dish that was tasty enough, but nothing extraordinary. The non-alcoholic beer was refreshing, but the real shocker came with the bill. A cappuccino for a staggering €6.20! Given the average price on the island hovers around €2.50, this felt like highway robbery.

While the view is undoubtedly breathtaking, the exorbitant prices for basic fare left a sour taste in my mouth. If you're looking for a meal that matches the magnificence of the surroundings, this overpriced establishment will sadly leave you...

The Guinness House has the most strategic location in relation to the Royal Palace and la Seu Cathedral. It is located just across the artificial pond in full view of both monuments. This makes the café very busy most of the days. And because of that, the service tend to be slow though the servers are doing their best. Sometimes it takes forever just to get your bill. The food is average as the place seems content that it is meant for one-time only customers. Prices are fair. It is a good place to take a break from the heat and enjoy the perfect view of The cathedral...
