Unparalleled Discourtesy at a Restaurant
My husband and I recently disembarked from a Royal Caribbean cruise at the port of Palma de Mallorca. After a lengthy stroll along the marina, we arrived at the vibrant Av. d'Antoni Maura, replete with bustling shops and restaurants. In need of the facilities, I approached the dark-haired woman, likely in her fifties, manning the counter at DALILÍ Restaurant, and politely inquired about using their restroom. To my utter surprise, she responded with the most astonishing rudeness - I have never before encountered such deplorable treatment in any establishment. She sharply admonished that the facilities were reserved solely for her customers, which I fully understood and respected. However, I offered to purchase beverages or a cappuccino, to which she callously dismissed, practically ejecting me from the premises. I confronted her directly, declaring her the most discourteous individual I have ever encountered. Madam, let me impress upon you - I will easily spend €191 on a light luncheon in Rome or any other European city. Had you extended me the slightest dignity and respect, we would have gladly returned to your establishment after completing our shopping. As a fellow business owner, I urge you to cultivate a more compassionate demeanor...
Read moreTook a city break to Palma in March 25, and having walked around the main city centre my wife and I came across this really well positioned and nicely decorated bar & restaurant opposite the cathedral.
This place has a really nice modern feel to it and was spotlessly clean. Staff were so friendly and not pushy like some of the other places that face off to the main roads and walkways.
Initially, we were keen to just sit and relax with a glass of fizz and a coffee, all of which were very reasonably priced. However, the smell of the food and seeing what delights others had ordered made us decide to eat here too, and it was a great decision.
We ordered a pizza to share and it was fabulous.
This was a quiet time of the season so the owner told us they would close in the evening, but come the summer season this place would be open well into the night and would be very busy.
So if you are in need of a place to relax and unwind after a busy day walking and exploring Palma I would highly recommend. We ended up spending a good couple of hours in here in the end.
Big thank you to the staff for their service and the chill out music softly playing also. Lovely place and good luck for the summer...

We were warmly welcomed by a kind waitress ( on Tuesday 26th August at about 6:30pm ), who took our order professionally. However, only one of the two seafood linguinis we ordered was brought to the table. When we politely raised the issue with a different waitress, her response was abrupt and condescending. She snapped, “Just a minute, I’m trying to talk to the kitchen,” while clearing the table over my head an unnecessarily rude and dismissive interaction.
The missing dish eventually arrived 20 minutes later, by which time the rest of our food had gone cold.
This experience overshadowed the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. Sadly, it fell far below the standard of hospitality we’ve experienced elsewhere in Palma, where staff have been consistently warm and...
