La Pescadería Street — Restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz

Way overpriced dor that what you get on the plate, once we choose table where to seat cause Floor staff has been busy talking to each other 4 of them inside restaurant where all guests seated outside. No drinks menu so I've ordered water my wife tried ordered aperol spritz but server hasn't got idea what she talking about we tried explaining but he seemed like someone asking him first time about it so she gave up and ordered water too Calamari as a starter It tooks 40 min to get it, quite decent (that why 2* not one*) as a main course we get mix fish and seafood. We got one fish I've been very disappointed cause mixed fish you think it will be few pieces of different fish but not there, clams about 8-9 doesn't open or open just a bit shouldn't been served, prawns not clean at all, bigger one we managed to clean but small one we tried a bit but impossible so we left it 4 razor clams ok 4 mussels ok then 4 tiny scallops and one sea bream unscaled all served without sides we didn't realise until we got food,

So for 1 calamari to share and one platter of "one fish" and seafood without sides plus 2 glass water 52€

Left restaurant still hungry had to get som3 bite food on our way to hotel. So if you won't be disappointed find another fish restaurant you may be gonna have...

Giving one star as the fish and wrinkle potatoes were good. The experience was a disaster. Being used to choosing and weighing the fish we were told yes it will be one of those. Ordered small squid on the grill and the fish to be cooked on the grill. Waiting almost 25 minutes appeared with a dish that wasn't what we ordered no apology just a grunt. 10 minutes later appeared the fish served by the manager, so no squid well the fish is ready so we had no choice but to forget about the first course. Ordered a second glass of wine and was told it was an invitation for the mishandling of the order by the waiter. Now the best bit was when the bill came they had charged for the so called invitation glass of wine. Decided not to complain again for 3.50 euros paid and left but told the manager on the way out invitation and you've charged for it. Also your organisation and service leaves a lot to be desired. Would I eat there again I doubt it with so many excellent fish restaurants in Puerto de la Cruz which this one doesn't fall into...

Ate here twice, first for lunch and it was so good we came back for our last meal before we left. Food is delicious and seemed very friendly.

Our second visit wasn’t as successful as the first. The waitress seemed annoyed by us stopping by. Ignored and when it came time to take the order got an “ok?!” snapped at us.

Didn’t write our order down. Food came and it wasn’t what we asked for (this was after she confirmed for a second time). We ate it as couldn’t be bothered to explain what the issue was.

Had to get up to pay as we wanted to leave and were being ignored, no wipes to clean up our hands like last times. What we ate was delicious but what a let down and put a downer on...
