This place is amongst our favourite restaurants in the city centre of Puerto. We are vegetarians and have rarely found such an incredible selection of veggie tapas that taste amazing. They have a huge menu catering to anyone (main courses and even the meat also looks fantastic). They offer a bunch of nice wines and though we usually only order the house wine, we are super happy with the quality. The restaurant is German owned and the staff is very friendly. Sometimes, if the place is busy you have to wait a while to have your order taken or get a refill or receive your bill, but that is the case in most cases on the island. And since the food is so nice, and the staff so friendly, we don't mind since we are not usually in a big rush. Although many people at dinner time order main courses, I would encourage you to have a look at both sides of the huge tapas menu. Our favourites are the croquettes, ropa vieja (vegetarian) and either one of...
Read moreIt was a while before anyone came to take our order, then when they did it was drinks and food all at once. Then we were waiting quite a while for our wine. We enjoyed our bread, garlic dip and olives and fried squid which we shared. When our mains arrived, my goulash came with fries but I had ordered rice. They took my meal away and returned it with the rice. The meat in the goulash was lovely and tender but extremely salty so I couldn't eat it. The waitress asked how my meal was, I explained. And why are they adding extra salt onto customers food?? Very unhealthy. Nevertheless they still charged me for the meal I was...

So we wondered into the old part which used to be a fishing village back in the day - worth a visit even if not eating. We ate at Tempo del Vino and we weren't disappointed. We had the mixed fish dish for two which was all lovely fresh fish and well presented and finished with our usual Baraquito. We weren't drinking today but the place is full of bottles of wine and interesting liquors on the shelves. Nice easy going relaxed atmosphere in here - a bit old school but all the better for it....
