we ordered the Morucha steak and it was absolutely awful (so so chewy and full of fats). I was with my two friends and we thought we’d split it. The steak was uneatable! absolutely disgusting. it was filled with FATS everywhere and was extremely chewy. each piece of bread that THEY SERVE YOU WITHOUT YOU ORDERING, is 1.70 euros!!! so it was 5.10 total! We got Jamon with eggs which was decent.. also sooo expensive for the quality of food which was 17.80 euros. The Jamon smelt terrible, everytime it came near my mouth I had the urge to throw up. Thus restaurant is just not worth your money at all. we had to on the first floor because we didn’t have reservations, which was fine but it was freezing since the door kept opening and closing. The place is not clean much, the plates have some weird greasy residue, they are obviously not washed right. I am so sorry to say that this place was a HUGE disappointment. it’s in Plaza Mayor, and has high ratings with thousands of reviews and honestly I...
Read moreI only stayed for a night in Salamanca as I was travelling down to Andalucía, and the best place I could find was this place, considering I have a dog. I didn't give this place 5☆ because of the menu - it isn't very clear. But the food was really nice, I had ración 3# , the chicken one. If I had stayed more nights here I would've definitely come here again. The surrounding Plaza Mayor was amazing, especially when all the balconies lit up when it got dark - there was a universal gasp. The waiters were great, very effective. The waitress was nicer than the waiter though. He was hell-bent on finding more customers whether as the woman was kinder, though I did laugh when I saw her chastening the kitchen staff when I went to the loo. The man did offer me a pacharan so I wouldn't leave since I was occupying a table close to the front, and he didn't charge me. The fiestas were also on that day, which was a nice surprise that made the atmosphere...
Read moreWhat an incredible experience we have had tonight eating at this wonderful restaurant in the most stunning “Plaza Mayor”. From the moment we sat down we were made to feel like we were the only clients in the restaurant. Blankets and heaters were provided and the passion each waiter had in describing each dish was mouth watering. We were spoilt beyond belief. We have travelled in Spain for the last 6 weeks and we were so thrilled to have eaten what was no doubt the best meal we had in all our travelling time. Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant. The food and service speaks for itself, nothing was too much trouble and everything was met with a smile. This is a must visit when you come to Salamanca. Samara, Pamela and...
