We should of known not to go to this place. All the other restaurants were full except this one that has plenty of empty tables.
We went here for dessert, trying to end the night on a good note while enjoying the view. We were expected to pay for more, but at least if the food was good that’s fine.
We ordered a chocolate coulant - basically chocolate lava cake. But very disappointingly there were no lava or any trace of melted chocolate coming out of the cake! It literally was an over cooked chocolate cake charging for 6.50 Euros!!! It was hard and super sweet. We also ordered a chocolate mousse, that was a white chocolate mousse (I wish this was mentioned somewhere on the menu). It was bland and barely tasted any chocolate, again charging 6.50 euros. The coffee was terrible, this restaurant had the name “cafe” in it, so we thought coffee should be good right? Nope, it was bland and overpriced.
Please stay away from this place…I came to check the reviews and I wish I had done this before we sat down. The best part was probably the view, you’re in Plaza Mayor. Oh and the chairs didn’t poke our bums. I give the...
Read moreIf I could give this restaurant negative ratings I would. They served my family 3 raw turbots even though they were supposed to be pan fried. From the outside the fish looked cooked, but once we took that first bite we quickly realized it was completely raw inside and cold. We wanted to return the plate since we felt very underwhelmed with the flavor. They continued to not only apologize, but rather serve us with an attitude, as if we were wrong for questioning their cooking strategies. When the bill came due, they alleged that they recooked the previous plates (literally without our consent or consultation) and that they repackaged it to go. They clearly did this so they could charge us full price for the plates, which they did. My parents chose not to fight them since they already had such a bad attitude. Worst culinary experience I have had in a long time. I recommend to visit any other restaurant in the Plaza Mayor in Salamanca. Do...
Read moreIf I could give it 0 star for the food I would. DO NOT GO THERE ! Where can I start …… Food - raw chicken !!! Which was re cooked but then the rest of the plate was cold so obviously they didn’t bother changing the whole plate but just incinerate the chicken which then was then extremely dry. The croquettes were cold and so were the potatoes. The whole dish was tasteless and just “fried” My Caesar salad was also with fried bits of chicken and cheese with tasteless croutons and covered in a disgusting sauce. Then I asked for a small portion of patatas bravas I got a large one & they charged me for it. They were cold and blend. Then the bill came which was very expensive for the rubbish food you get served. I could have argued the bill but I don’t speak Spanish. All in all if do come here just have a drink!! The only good thing about this place ia that it’s located on the plaza which is lovely nice and sunny and has...
