Me and my mom came for one of the fine dining experiences on our holiday. It ended up being quite interesting, saved by the manager (we assumed) and a waitress and a waiter at the end(whom came with the Bill)

The starter were impeccable, however the lamb with couscous and pesto seemed at bit mediocre. I would really recommend the dessert with some coffe, this was very tastefull.

The view and the mood of the place were elegant. It could perhaps be enhanced even more by a bit less light as to put the view in focus.

The service personell were a bit rude or ignorant at times, and made us feel out of place. They came with a dish where someone mentioned something that was hard to pick up so we had to ask what it was since it didn’t fit with the starter we had ordered. A young waiter explained that it was a soup on the house, however it was explained in such a manner as if we were dumb for not understanding. It was the same really when first selecting what to drink and eat. A bit of an explanation of how the menu worked and how the digital drinking menu worked to begin with would have gone a long way.

The funny thing is that when a couple of other couples came in we could see that they understood as little as we did, and they also looked uncomfortable. They looked like questionmarks really, and I could see one of them using the soup as a dip for the bread. The manager that came at the end and took our dessert order were quite friendly, warm and funny the same with the waitress who took our drinking order for the dessert wine. So Thank you for saving the service experience a bit at the end. I hope this feedback...

Visiting this restaurant was one of the highlights of our holiday, it was really special from start to finish with the views breath-taking as you watch the sun set over the dunes and surrounding city. We enjoyed an amazing six course tasting menu with accompanying wine pairing. All courses were cooked superbly and tasted fantastic. Our only comment would be that it would be nice to receive more information about the ingredients which were in the dishes that we were tasting, as the descriptions were quite basic and we often had to probe the waitress/waiter for more information. We felt that given how nice the food was and how much effort had obviously gone into creating these dishes, the serving staff would really want to emphasise this with further information about the courses. The same can be said for the wine pairing, as only the name of the wine and the region where it originated were given when it was poured.

We were told the tasting menu had recently changed, this is what we were served: Chicken and beef cake Tuna with papaya and avocado Mixed vegetables with cream of ginger, coconut milk, lemongrass, curry leaves Scallops with chicken, beef and veg sauce Rump steak Melt in the middle sponge with chocolate ice cream and raspberry sorbet

The décor, lighting and ambience of the restaurant was also very nice and we did not feel rushed at any point to finish. Quite the contrary, we had to chase them to pay the bill, which was the only tarnish to the service given...

Where to begin? First of all, this is probably the worst restaurant experience I ever had. When we arrived we had to wait 45 minutters until our table was ready - even though we came on time. A lot of guests came with reservation times, but got a table right away. when we got the table it took 30 minutes before we were handed the menu, and another 30 minutes before the came to take our order. The starter came after 15 minutes, but the wine didn't. Afterward it took almost 45 minutes before our main dish came and we had to ask for it several times. After the main course we went out to smoke and told it to the staff. When we got back in the wine bottle was gone - even though there was almost half a bottle still. We asked for it and they thought we had left, so they wanted to pour it out.

In general the staff didn't care at all. The only one who had a high level of service was their trainee. Props to him.

Taken in consideration the price of the visit and how the restaurant want to look, the visit was a joke. I would never ever recommend anyone to...

Vervelend.
