Kukuharri Jatetxea NH Collection Aránzazu — Restaurant in San Sebastián

High quality food but rather limited choice for a restaurant adjoining a luxury hotel.

Atmosphere could be improved too: the bar spills over in the restaurant, so when you look forward to a quiet dinner and private conversation, you will be disappointed: expect groups of friends having only drinks right next to your table. It was also incredibly busy. No visible separation between bar and restaurant at the time of my visit. Lighting is rather harsh and not really cosy.

That being said, the service is correct albeit a tad impersonal.

The advantage of this place is that it offers good food right at the hotel where you're staying, so if you don't feel like walking or taking a cab to the city center, it's still a rather convenient choice. On the other hand, there are better options a bit further away.

Upon my next visit to the otherwise lovely hotel, I would order room service - same cook, but...

It is the restaurant of the NH hotel. The prices are high but the quality of the food is up to it. They have a selection of high-quality wines on glass that is difficult to find anywhere else. You can also enjoy some good quality light food at the bar, which now has five tables or so outside. The octopus is superb, the croquetas and fried potatoes...

We have loved pinxtos in Donostia but felt like dining a la carte for a change. This restaurant was fabulous. We had the mussel croquettes, anchovy salad, scallops and hake with shrimp. Everything was excellent. The service was exceptional. Our server anticipated our needs and delivered in every way. The best meal of our 3 day stay...
