A fantastic discovery Although I live in Santiago de Compostela, I had never been to this cafe, which, as I have been told, has been under new management for a couple of months. I can assure that we will repeat. We decided to go there for a light lunch given the positive reviews we saw on the internet and it certainly was the right decision. Unlike the typical cafe in Santiago, where customer service is frequently deficient, here you feel really welcome and you can notice that the personnel are friendly and attentive. We wanted to eat outside, but we decided to go inside as the sun was too strong and there were no free tables in the shade. Seeing our interest, the waitress offered to place a big parasol, which was greatly appreciated. The food was really nice and the portions very generous. Another aspect that I appreciated was that they serve lemon and orange scented tap water free of charge. So, I really recommend a visit, both to locals...

We had a awesome meal and great cocktails. We love the foods of Northern Spain, but after 3 weeks walking the Camino we were craving something different and creative. This filled the bill! When I asked about the excellent mezcal in the “purple tiger” cocktail the bar tender pulled down the bottle and gave me a sample. Then I asked about local spirits and she pulled out several bottles of Xaris - a Galician “licor de hierbas” and offered more samples. It had a hint of the mezcal smokiness my wife and I love. Finally the Guinness Chocolate Cake was...

Waited at the entrance for the next available table. Although there were 3 members of staff, nobody spoke to us for 10 minutes. Two tables opened up and others were seated, one party that arrived after us. Eventually we were spoken to and asked to stand to the side of the restaurant and wait.

Very poor customer service, particularly when you have two young children. Customers should be greeted, told where to wait and how long that might be and they can choose to...

Wow what a beautiful cafe! Came here post-Camino in search of a some good solid brunch and was not disappointed! Food is beautifully presented and service top notch. The poached eggs with bacon on sourdough with mushrooms was brilliant. Thumbs up to the keen-eyed waitress who yelled out and stopped a random passerby walk off with a fellow pilgrims backpack in the nick of time!!!

One of the best energies at the old city for all ages, you´ll find youngsters, as not. The vibe is really good, music is from a wide range of genres, always cheerful. Very decent spot, better than it´s neighbors. Service was very good but drinks took a particularly long while, twice. There is not that much space to sit so I would recommend to book previously. It gets packed.
